yadi a hot head? really? are there any other instances anyone can even remember before the brewers one this season? obviously besides the phillps one because that was warranted. we are (for a change) in a tight division race that we have a legitimate chance of losing, tensions can be heightened. get a clue people. plus gerald lairds arm is pretty weak, he throws slow and inaccurate. i'd probably be mad at him too if i was yadi. i do agree with the neck tattoos being really stupid and it would be nice it he could speak english more clearly but whatever, he's a beast behind the plate.
I'm praying to sweet 6 lb 8 oz baby jesus that we don't go for furcal and/or get rid of descalso. He's been money this season, so clutch 7th inning on. Not the biggest Theriot fan but if we got Furcal he'd probably just get hurt within a couple weeks. New cards ownership from a few years ago is cancerous, wish they hadn't forced Jockety out.
In the spring game James Franklin our next QB was 13-21 with like 158 yards and two td's while Gabbert was 8-22 with 48 yards. It very possibly could be one of those things, I'm excited about Franklin though, can't wait to see him use his arm in a real game!
Maybe I should have clarified more, I don't blame him for going home, I blame the way that he did it by stringing us along for three seasons in a row of flirting with other schools, and then pulling the trigger this time. I did love Mike when he was here, I think he's a great coach, I just think he's a bum of a person though. Don't tell us you're going to retire here less than a week before you leave, don't tell Marcus Denmon two days before you leave that you plan on being at Missouri, tell us that you're in a decision making process. He kind of Lebron'd it and that's what sucks. That being said, I hope arkansas never has a winning record, and here's hoping to that because many of the players anderson has recruited over the last few years have been kids of close family friends, or relatives of some kind. Many of them are now gone, unless there's a bunch more still in high school or something that are capable of playing D1 ball. There's a chance he might not be able to get guys like Carroll, Tiller, Lyons and Bowers etc. anymore. So yea, I get arkansas is his home, dude, (I don't think you could have possibly mentioned that more,) I just don't think he knows what the word 'class' means. And oh yea, I remember Synder too, he was a HUGE bum, but he still sat at a press conference and got grilled about why no players improved under him, and why his tenure was a failure in general. He at least faced the music, mike mislead us and bounced without saying it to our faces. And oh yea, Mizzou could go either way in basketball with this new possible bum we hired, but good luck thinking you'll ever get to a final 4, I highly doubt that will happen bro. Oh yea I almost forgot, if the fans were quiet at the two games you went to this season, there's no way it wasn't an early season blood donor game. I think you'll find that's common at lots of D1 schools when they play teams that aren't relevant. Conference games are and always have been nuts, and if you try and tell me it was conference games you're just flat out lying because I was at almost all of them the last 4 years. Saying we didn't appreciate him? You're seriously a word that SI would filter if I tried to put it on here, Mizzou fans loved him. So far my assumption that dumb people live in arkansas has never really been proven wrong.
I think there may be an outside chance Haith might do all right at mizzou, however I would have much preferred Painter for obvious reasons, or almost anyone else besides Bruce Pearl really. Anderson is a bum though, I can't even say I really blame him for wanting to go back to Arkansas, he spent alot of his life there. However, he negotiated terms of a contract with us that would have put him in the top 12 highest paid coaches in college bball, all of which except for Anderson and one other dude have been to at least one final four, something I don't see uncle mike ever doing. If would've been different if he'd just not negotiated a contract with us, but he did and still bolted, then didn't even have the cajones to do a press conference here and face some tough questions. Overall, just a classless and cowardly guy. Get bent uncle mike, and I'll at least hope for the best with Haith.
"During the road win streak that started at Missouri last year"
That game was a complete travesty, had it not been played on bleepin thursday night football for espn's sake in a super-typhoon maybe nebraska would never had started that impressive road streak. However, this haplessness at home is only good for the tigers, I'm smelling a W for the Tigers in the last meeting ever in Lincoln.
"when I put a signature on the line I want to make sure I'm committed to doing whatever it says." unfortunately, when he put his signature on that line in st. louis, his commitment was to be injured and not be productive until he left town.

Hmmmmmmmmm well, I just did some math here, and it looks like the cards are 981-767 over the last ten years, including this season. We're actually 9 games over.500 right now! (If you were a real fan, you might have known that) Oh, and in 02' we won a franchise record (a 120+ year franchise mind you) 105 games, with tony. We also happened to win 105 games again in 04', and only had one losing season during those ten years in 07' (78-84.) So, you might be able to see how people are confused when you say that "they are used to losing," because... by simple numbers that is scientifically just not true my good friend. I think we have learned something here today people, people who think tony should be gone actually don't know what they're talking about! It's OK, T&R should still let them post because typing apparently makes them feel like their opinion might be taken seriously by someone other than themselves and their cat. The cardinals are better off not having losers like you watch. You are worse than an embarrassment of a fan, theres a phrase for people like you, "fair weather fan." Stay at home and **** save everybody the time wasted reading your drivel. You don't turn on your team when they falter, that's what **** do. I'm out.
Thank you good sir, perfectly sums up why Tony should stay. I really wish they would allow curse words to appropriately describe how dumb people who want Tony gone are. But since they don't, I have compiled a T&R friendly list of single words that should do the job: screwy, silly, obtuse, laughable, nonsensical, meaningless, naive, shortsighted, simple, gullible, half-baked, foolish, and last of all, plain stoooopid. There have been morons riding the get rid of tony wagon long before the cards won in 06', you just wonder how much more he has to prove to them before they get their heads out of their buttockses. People should feel free to add on to the word list as well, it might make this thread more entertaining.
any cardinals fan who wants TLR gone might as well root for the cubs, it's just plain un-midwestern americanism. two world series' in the last decade? one world series trophy? not a whole lot of other managers have done that between 00'-10'. TLR haters should probably just stop talking because you make actual fans angry.
