I noticed none of these pictures were taken in winter. That's because snow and cold weather suck. Big time.

This sounds too much like the Mitch Mustain/Arkansas deal. And look out how well that turned out for Mitch. How's that pine feel, son?

Hey, they have Bama at #3, don't they? Guess you're right.
Posted Friday August 21, 2009, About: Report: Alabama won't suspend LB
Auburn running back Eric Smith was arrested last night and charged with disorderly conduct. after an incident at an Auburn hotel. Smith was sober and did not resist arrest. Smith is competing for the number two RB position. Now, let's see what the coach on the other side of the states does.

So she hit him first? And that justifies him grabbing her by the neck and shoving her? This guy is a linebacker. How much could it have hurt him? If a woman hits a man, he should just walk away--- for good. It shows a total lack of respect. There is no excuse for domestic violence. Saban is condoning unacceptable behavior when he should use this to set an example -- a game or two suspension.

I think they have a pretty decent defensive mind already, and I don't mean Roof. Chiz was pretty tought to beat at Auburn and Texas. Don't really know if the bucks are there from Aubunr alums. Don't forget, we still have Tubberville and a half dozen other former coaches on the payroll! I think the coaching staff is fine right now. But really need to recruit to get back to where we were in the early Tubberville years. A lot of that recruiting strength, admittedly, came when Bama was on probation. Auburn has always had to recruit outside the state to compete. Hoping they have another book scandal at UAT! But even with lesser "star" talent, Auburn has managed to compete on the field with Bama over the years.

It's just our way of showing our appreciation for each other. They call us "the Cow College," we call them inbred, mullet-wearing, trailer trash. They refer to us as "Awbarn." And so on. People dispute that Auburn-Alabama is the nation's most heated rivalry. Until you live here andexperience it, you have no idea. It's not a rivalry that comes around once a year when Ohio State plays Michigan or USC plays Notre Dame. It's all year, every year. It permeates everything in this state. And we love it.

Maybe. What makes you think Chizek could steal him away from Tennessee? They are building a strong program up there and in a year or two could be back in top form -- assuming Bryce Brown isn't declared ineligible and Kiffin's doesn't land them in probation! But, seriously, I think the Vols are going to be back in the thick of thing sooner the Auburn. Everything in college footbal is cyclical.

I'm realistic enough to know that Auburn, although better than last year, still has some real issues -- particularly at QB and depth in almost every position. The starters are very talented, but in the SEC, you've got to have depth. You can't leave your starters on the field every play. And if you have injuries and your second stringer is a big step down, it's going to show. Bama won't have the cake walk with Auburn that they had last year, but they should win.

I'm a jerk for getting on to you for not knowing what teams are in the same division as the team you pull for? SNAP (as you would say). And no, I'm not talking about a any game that happened any time in the past. You asked about my avatar and I told you. You are a typical Bammer -- only capable of running around talking abot how great UAT is but having no knowledge of other teams and incapable of talking from an educated position about college football unless it is about your team. Go to www.al.com and get on the Alabama blog there where you fit in with the rest of the delusional Bammers.

You don't know what teams are in your division? Wow. Now there's a knowledgeable sports fan. I should have known when you asked if my avatar was an Auburn photo -- that shot is one of seven sacks (that's when the qurterback get tackled in the backfield) that Auburn put on Brody Croyle in the Iron Bowl, sweetheart. So if we have to spell it out to you (sad) to get to Atlanta (you know, that's where the SEC championship game is played) you have to get past LSU and Ole Miss.

Yes, you'll find out early, and the rest of the world will see that Bama's O-line can be owned. McElroy is going to have a hard time finding Julio when he's flat on his back all night looking at the top of the Georgia Dome.
Posted Thursday August 13, 2009, About: Florida lineman: Kiffin's a bozo
Kiffin's response to comment: "I know that to some people, being a bozo a negative thing. But we've had a fat bozo here for years and we needed a change. So now we're shaking things up by me being a big bozo. Some time you have to do things to get attention, and no one is better at being a boze than I am. Just ask my wife. Honey, am I a bozo, or what."
Posted Thursday August 13, 2009, About: MLB lures RB from Auburn
I agree that Auburn may have issues at QB, but at least they options. I think you'll see a QB named in a week or so and that this person will not have to be a great quarterback, just not on ethat will lose the game. The rest of the offensive pieces are there. The Vols, on the other hand, have little to chose from as far as QBs and the rest of the offense won't be as stout.
Posted Thursday August 13, 2009, About: MLB lures RB from Auburn
This is hardly news, at least to Auburn followers. They wrote him off to baseball months ago and he's not listed on the team roster. As far as RBs go, if there's one position that Auburn is stacked in, it's the backfield.
Posted Monday July 13, 2009, About: JC All-American commits to UGA
Speaking of JUCO pick ups, Auburn got a commitment this weekend from DE Joel Bronomolo out of Louisiana.

Attending Fullerton Community College in California. Chose Auburn over Arizona State, Iowa State, Utah, and reportedly had received interest from LSU as well but decided not to wait for a potential offer.
Posted Friday June 05, 2009, About: Alabama nabs No. 1 CB recruit
I hate to bring us back on track with the original story, but since we're talking about recruiting in Alabama, it was announced today that Auburn has gotten a verbal commit from the states top wide receiver. That may not seem like a big deal, but since Satan has been at UAT, Auburn hasn't gotten a top 10 recruit. Say what you want about the limo and Big Cat weekend. Fo to www.al.com mand read what Jeremy Richardson said. He had offers from Alabama, LSU and Tennessee, among others. Auburn is also recruiting one of Richardson's teammate, Chase Hughes, an offensive lineman.

Tubberville was there for two years and got fired. Very dangerous place to be.
Posted Friday June 05, 2009, About: Alabama nabs No. 1 CB recruit
I live in Millbrook and my kids went to Stanhope/Elmore H.S. Milliner has leaned towards Alabama from the start. I don't think he even made a visit to Auburn. I do know the Tiger Prowl did not roll through Millbrook/did not visit Stanhope. A lot of schools offered Milliner, but I think everyone knew where he was headed. I agree that he will not be swayed between now and February.

I guess if you want to consider bowl games OOC competition, let's look at what the SEC did last year. Won six out of eight bowl games, including the third NC in four years. How shabby.

Better to have a limo for your coaches than a paddy wagon for your players.
