Not from Texas, just typed in that zip. No glasses houses here on the East Coast, just some really relevant baseball. Something that's missing out there.

Wait a minute......there's relevant baseball on the West Coast?
Posted Friday December 19, 2008, About: Michigan transfer considering three teams
Wow, the ignorance is astounding, almost as bad as that of our politicians. That number, $70/hour, reflects a workers salary PLUS benefits PLUS the estimated hourly cost to the automakers of retiree pension and health benefits. That prior number is calculated around $23-27/hour. Subtract the lower amount out, and that makes it $47/hour for salary and benefits, which isn't much higher than what foreign automakers pay their workers ($43/hour).
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Selig buys ad explaining Astros move
Selig's just trying to put the best spin on it to somehow justify a total screwing of Houston. Those games could have been rescheduled later in Houston, even at the end of the season if they were needed. Instead, they're moved to a site close to Chicago, becoming a de facto Cubs home game.
Posted Monday April 14, 2008, About: How can Rutgers replace Rice?
J HOVA: "Not exactly writing them off RUSteve but despite being the best returning passer in the league, Mike Teel doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence."

Keep in mind that Teel played the last nine games of the regular season with an injured thumb on his throwing hand. Unfortunately that negated the vertical passing game and made his throwing inconsistent. An example of this was his interception to end the Cincy game. His performance in our bowl game, once his thumb had time to heal, was more indicative of what he brings to the table.

Two areas that will be stronger which will improve our O this year is TE and FB. For 2007 we lost an NFL caliber FB In Brian Leonard and two NFL caliber TE's in Clark Harris and Sam Johnson to graduation. This year we have several players who have grown into those positions and will provide better blocking and additional passing options for Teel. If we have any production at RB (and it could be an interesting mix, with Young and Robinson as speed backs, Brooks as a bruising back, and Martinek as a combination of speed and power) our offense could be downright scary.
