Keep in mind that Teel played the last nine games of the regular season with an injured thumb on his throwing hand. Unfortunately that negated the vertical passing game and made his throwing inconsistent. An example of this was his interception to end the Cincy game. His performance in our bowl game, once his thumb had time to heal, was more indicative of what he brings to the table.
Two areas that will be stronger which will improve our O this year is TE and FB. For 2007 we lost an NFL caliber FB In Brian Leonard and two NFL caliber TE's in Clark Harris and Sam Johnson to graduation. This year we have several players who have grown into those positions and will provide better blocking and additional passing options for Teel. If we have any production at RB (and it could be an interesting mix, with Young and Robinson as speed backs, Brooks as a bruising back, and Martinek as a combination of speed and power) our offense could be downright scary.
