the national average is like a 21, and a 25 isnt great but it is for a scholarship football athlete. i wonder the average ACT score coming out of high school for the top 100 recruits. guarantee it is lower than 20

i wonder how much playing time he will get with a dual threat true freshman (sophomore next year) qb jordan jefferson already looking very impressive in the bowl game. its not like at florida when tebow came in because leak was a pocket passer. i bet he will live up to the expectations, but i wonder how much playing time he will actually recieve. but no doubt he will make the most of it. this is coming from a michigan fan who could have used shepard very badly

If you are going to say that, then I think Pryor made the wrong choice. Please reference the game tape from all of the big games from the "university of ohio state" as pryor called it. Florida, LSU, USC to name a few. i know michigan hasnt been strong lately but at least we do not get embarassed every big game on prime time national tv.

So why exactly did terrelle pryor choose "the university of ohio state" over michigan in the first place? he said he wanted to play a tebow-like role in the offense, and not start right away. this is essentially what he is doin now at ohio state, but at michigan he would have been the starter at the opener, and he would have more experience now. probably tre$$el had something to do with it...

The last time Michigan hired an outsider it seemed to work pretty well (Bo Schembechler), so I don't see why this will be any different. Besides, let RR have a season under his belt at Michigan before you judge him. Nobody has seen them play, so predictions are irrelevant at this point. Within 2 years, this team will be top 3 in the big ten for years and years to come

For people who say it is a huge blow obviously don't follow Michigan football that much. They already have a 09 qb recruit in Shavodrick Beaver, plus now they have a greater chance to get either dual threat qb Tate Forcier or Eugene Smith, both 4 stars.

They aren't thin. They have depth, but they just lack experience at this point. Greg Mathews is the #1 receiver, but there are many options behind him including Junior Hemingway, Toney Clemons, LaTerryl Savoy, and Darryl Stonum. Plus a four star next year in Bryce McNeal.

High school kids commit and de-commit like seasons, which is why the ncaa should let them sign a LOI whenever they want, not have to wait until signing day. This would help with at least some of the commitments, and it wouldnt hurt anybody either.

Even if he leaves U of M, they still have another 4-star QB in Shavodrick Beaver, but i would prefer Newsome, so I hope he stays.
