BTW, they wouldn't be in the south if there wasn't some reason they couldn't cut it in the north (Winnepeg, Hartford, Minnesota, Quebec...). I'm a big fan of more teams in Canada (as that's a guaranteed money-maker) and I'm defintely a fan of contracting/moving teams that show no effort towards embedding the sport in their area of effect (Tampa, Nashville, Phoenix...), but Dallas wouldn't fall into either of those categories.
That being said, Dallas just looks exhausted and overmatched. Too many high-impact players are out for too long and Marty just can't carry the load for everyone anymore. He needs a break whether he wants one or not. Modano's a checking-line center whether he wants to admit it or not. Morrison is an attempt to look like we did something at the deadline. I expect him to be gone when his contract expires in July.
