The crazy thing will be: Who gets left out this year? LT Marcus McNeill, RB Darren Sproles, WR Vincent Jackson, WR Chris Chambers, OLB Shawne Merriman, QB Phillip Rivers....will all be free agents after 2009.
QB, LT, and OLB (in the 3-4 scheme) are the money spots for each team. They can't resign everyone.
They should let WR Chambers, RB Sproles, OLB Phillips, and CB Jammer all walk after this season. Jammer always has some stupid PI call and gets burned too often. Phillips contract is big and English is going to take his spot in 2010 anyway. Chambers is getting old, and Sproles is good, but they have to decide what they are doing with LT. Just my .02....
I told ppl to watch out before he was drafted. I watched the NFL.com videos of him and OLB Brian Cushing getting prepared for the draft. Cushing was in the gym killing it, doing drills, taking care of his body, and trying to get better.
I know Crabtree was hurt, but he was getting hair cuts, hanging out, buying clothes........Study film of guys that you model your game after. See how they run routes and separate from DB's. That stupid Jump cut for the slant will not work in the NFL. The Gimic routes that you ran at Texas Tech did not require you to read the differences in coverages. The offensive coord. would look at the Defense and call the play based off their scheme. You don't know how to read, your not fast, your stupid, and you can't run routes to save your life. Shut up, practice hard, sign your contract, and get better!
Now, as a QB...........There is plenty to say why he won't succeed. He plays in the Spread, Horrible Footwork, Can't read Defenses, He can't run in the NFL..........The guy will bring it to most FS's and SS's, he throws a great deep ball, with excellent touch, he extends plays, Amazing Arm Stregnth, and no one has better leadership qualities. He only gets better as people doubt him.
They say that the Athletes around him make his throws better than they are.......I don't buy that. He has some guys that run 4.3's, well 85% of NFL WR's run 4.4 and under. If Tebow can get under Center and read the Defense, the WR's will make the play.
If I were management, they have already invested 2 2nd round picks, and a 4th rounder at WR. Amani Toomer can play two more seasons. Steve Smith is a Good/Great First down machine, and Dominik Hixon is starting to really turn the corner. Moss has produced a little when given a chance. I am not sure what Manningham will become, but I would feel comfortable parting ways with him.
On it...........He was making plays. I am so tired of hearing ppl talk crap about him (Cowboy Fans).....His man to man ability was starting to come out. However, the Cowboys played alot of soft zone with little pass rush. Now the Cowboys are blitzing correctly and playing more man, Pac should do well.
Here is my thing with the Eagles. They never pull the trigger and rely on Bums like TE L.J. Smith, WR Greg Lewis, WR Reggie Brown.........They should have given McNabb weapons a long time ago.
Reid does a great job of building his OLine and DLine, as well as bringing in CB Asante Samuel and DE Chris Clemons. The only problem is McNabb still hasn't got many weapons.
A.Nomally is correct. The window is going to close very soon. Eagles fans have to hope that Kevin Kolb is the next good QB, otherwise, things will get ugly in Philly.
Roy Williams is perfect for the West Coast System. He is Big, Fast, and can catch the football. The West Coast system relys on people like that.
I still don't know why the Eagles are sold on TE L.J. Smith. The guy is a Scrub! TE Tony Gonzalez would have been great too.
The Eagles have two No. 1's next season.........go ahead Reid.......1 OT and 1 DT.
Kitna is a Capable QB, given that he has protection and a Pure Runner, but they have never had that. Williams is way better than people give him credit for. To say he was a disappointment for the Lions is ludacris. Charles Rogers, Joey Harrington, and Mike Williams are disappointments, but not Roy Williams.
This is another example of horrible reporting. He is obviously a Philly fan that hates Dallas.
Just come back for the Redskins game. I would rather have Johnson start 3 games than 8.......
So as I see it, we got WR Roy Williams for a 1st round pick. Besides, you never EVER know what you are going to get in a WR in the Draft. Right now, we have our Future No.1 WR and a Great No. 2, and the best part is, we don't have to wait for him to be productive.
