I still call that "playing" where I am from!
Not that Eric Wynalda is a genius, but he knows Beasley pretty well, and I have to say that I do not think (nor would Eric or DBs US teammates agree) that Rangers are to blame for DBs lack of form. I think people have come to know that DBs problem is his fitness, focus, and fervor....
1. He's been hurt a lot... He looks a step slower.
2. His mind seems to focused on other things.... like selling his own line of trinkets...
3. He should be playing to prove he's one of the best. But to DB, he's already one of the best... Some people call that arrogance.
When Wynalda and HArkes are publicly saying that the money corrupted you as well, that can't be just their imaginations. That's coming from someone on the inside.
After we metaphorically put soap in our pillowcases and whooped him until he cried for his mamma, the damage had been done: 2 pages!
I was in a bad mood and attempted to provocate a personal response so I could share my mood...but it was to no avail...
Why no reply to my messages cindycakes?
I think you knew you better... stay clear of the pimp with tic tac fresh breath. Best idea you had all day...
Its better than the old "ha ha, soccer doesn't have any fans" gag.
Is Underground stalking you again, Oter? ;)
Thanks for stopping by and being a living, breathing cliche...
Speaking of humorous things... Heard this song for the first time the other day, and have to say it was so ridiculous that I lost control of my dog bladder and peed all over the carpet again. It is next in line for the worst song of all time:
INDIANA OUTLAW by Tim McGraw
I'm an Indian outlaw
Half Cherokee and Choctaw
My baby she's a Chippewa
She's one of a kind
All my friends call me Bear Claw
The Village Cheaftin' is my paw-paw
He gets his orders from my maw-maw
She makes him walk the line
You can find me in my wigwam
I'll be beatin' on my tom-tom
Pull out the pipe and smoke you some
Hey and pass it around
'Cause I'm an Indian outlaw
Half Cherokee and Choctaw
My baby she's a Chippewa
She's one of a kind
I ain't lookin' for trouble
We can ride my pony double
Make your little heart bubble
Lord, Like a glass of wine
I remember the medicine man
He caught runnin' water in my hands
Drug me around by my headband
Said I wasn't her kind
Cause I'm an Indian outlaw
Half Cherokee and Choctaw
My baby she's a Chippewa
She's one of a kind
I can kill a deer or buffalo
With just my arrow and my hickory bow
>From a hundred yards don't you know
I do it all the time
They all gather 'round my teepee
Late at night tryin' to catch a peek at me
In nothin' but my buffalo briefs
I got 'em standin' in line
So, don't presume to be the hallway monitor. Skip the posts you don't like (ie stop reading them if you can) and move on to the next. And quit being such a whiney alice.
You know, FIFA will let FIFpro rattle their sabers a bit, but nothing is going to happen yet because FIFA knows they're dealing with a growing sport in N America... Just that simple.
The fact that MLS has made few published consessions to the players yet is ridiculous, however. At some point, the contracts will need to be owned by the club and only MONITORED by the league. The salary cap needs to go up at least 1M this year.... And the league needs to quit listening to the tight wads like Kraft so damn much.... 1M more dollars isn't going to end parity for the teams that decide not to spend it...
I'm glad you're not writing him off, but if DB wants to play "every day" he might have to make a move back to the MLS. I suppose you think Convey will make a comeback as well?
As for Edu, yes, I understand that when he got there they did not like his form and thought his fitness was "okay" and thus sent him to the reserves until spring. But when they thought his form was up to snuff, he played regularly until the injury. Does "regularly" mean "every day"--no.
As for Reyna--most players typically need time to settle into a new team. Its rare that a player joins a new club and starts the very next game. It just doesn't work like that, but I think Reyna's 91 total games for Rangers worked out fine for him...
In short, if Holden goes to Rangers he can expect a few things:
1. he won't play RIGHT AWAY
2. he'll have to earn his spot on the starting 11
3. he'll have to get use to Scottish football
Holden isn't going to any quality Euro club and jumping into the starting 11. That is a total false expectation on your part. And if Holden thinks that, then he is fooling himself. Not even proven quality players move to a new team and jump straight into the starting 11. Its rare--not the norm. Those things take time, but I imagine that he would eventually get sufficient PT if he put in the effort. I have never heard of any player who showed up at quality Euro club and expected that he would jump straight into the starting 11 before learning more about his teamates and getting acclimated to the environment --not Dempsey, not Reyna, not McBride, not Donovan. Its not a realistic expectation.
