I heard a story that MMA is planning a re-vamp of weight classes. Its now ranging from bantamweights to super-heavyweights. Anyone actually remember the original UFC from the early 90's? When Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock were the kings of the Octagon. Anyone remember how there was no such thing as weightclasses. It was man against man regardless of style and weightclass to simply decide who was the worlds best fighter. Call me crazy, but I actually prefer it that way. I found that to be more interesting.
An expansion and growth of weightclasses only confuses things if you ask me. One of the reasons why boxing is so messed up is because you have way to many different champions in way to many different weight classes. Its hard to keep up with. Fans and general public want to know who the champ is, not who the 30 different guys claiming to be champ are.

I am surprised that MMA has not been thought as an Olympic sport. I mean basic hand to hand combat fighting. There is something very Olympic and Gladiatorial about the whole thing. I think the IOC should look into it. Just for the record I have a great deal of respect for what those guys do in the ring. It takes a great deal of skill and talent. I also think you gotta be a little bit nuts to to get in there. That being said, I personally would not be buying stocks in MMA long-term. Something tells me the whole thing is a passing fad and the bubble is going to burst soon.

Every team is playing small ball these days. What happened to legit centers and front court dominance. Last time I checked the Celtics did just fine with a big man leading the show and the Spurs have not done so bad either.

I own a VHS tape of NFL Films Best Shots. By far the best NFL Films ever made and easily the greatest piece of sports caught on film ever! I love NFL Films, its a shame to see it die....if does end up dying.

I want him to retire not because I hate him but more because I hate all the people that love him. I am mainly talking about the broadcasters who are simply in love with Brett Favre. After one of Favres patented bone-headed passes that somehow end up in the receivers arm for a TD or big yard gain "Wow! simply brilliant, that Brett Favre does it again!" After one of Brett Favres patented bone-headed passes that gets picked off "Oh what a great pass decision by Favre, too bad that receiver screwed it up" I think you get my point. When Favre goes to Canton its going to be the biggest love-in, and kiss-**** fest ever witnessed.
I feel sorry for Aaron Rodgers, what did this poor kid ever do, except get drafted by an organization that looks at their previous QB like he is the freakin' pope!

I support Charles Barkley 100%. He is a grown man, Its his money and he can do what he wants with it. I have alot of respect for a guy who is willing to speak his mind and back it up in any arguement or debate.

I love my Knicks always have and always will *knocks on wood and takes a grain of salt* *sigh...* Anyway they simply don't have the line-up to run the "run and gun" There is only two guys on that entire roster that even have an idea of what they are doing, Crawford and Lee. I don't trust Marburry (even though he was with phoenix during the early run and gun), Nate could be a great off the bench PG to run the O but needs better coaching (D'Antoni could be the guy) and Curry.....don't even get me started on that lardo. He needs a treadmill badly, a pet project for Mikey Do for sure, ah well, GO KNICKS! *takes another slip from the flask*

Hibbert is only a "bust" if he goes early first round which I hope he doesn't I think he has potential to be a solid 15point 10reb with a couple blocks a game. That solid presence at the centre position is what the raps have been missing since the team first came into existence.

Calderon ain't going no where. I know Miami is in love with the guy but unless they offer up that sweet sweet draft pick or Shawn Marion Jose will be dino in Toronto for a long time. Expect Colangelo sign-up soon. What the Raps need is a legit centre! Roy Hibbert would look great in a Toronto uniform.

I wish they could terminate contracts and release guys like the NFL does. My Knicks need a complete overhaul and get back to fundamental basketball basics. Whoever takes on the Mount Everest of coaching jobs better realize that.
