Usually, when a new player comes on board a team, there is an adjustment period where he tries to adpat to the team. Any team that gets Favre will need to adapt to his style, and not the other way around. If Favre were 30 YO, it would be worth it. A major offensive alteration that will last 2 years, maybe? The Jets are lucky not to get him.

The Jets should trade their #6 to Baltimore for the #8 and a 3rd round pick. Then, after the Ravens select Ryan, the Jets should then trade the #8 to the Saints for their #10 and a fourth round pick. This would enable NO to pick Ellis ahead of the Bengals. The Jets can then a) select the highest rated CB on the board, B) select DE Harvey, or C) continue to trade down, perhaps to someone who wants Harvey badly enough. All these second-day picks will allow the Jets to replenish their bench for this season while building for the future.
Naturally, all this goes for poot if NE trades their #7 to the Bengals.
