I guess my point was don't stop following a team because the name changes. Follow them because you like the team. Names change as people do but we remain fans for the team. It's always teh team.

Why change TOT. I mean I don't forsake the Tribe just because they happen to have an effigy of one of my ancestors on thier uniforms and advertisements.

I say go with what is there. I do think that other peoples races and identities should be usable as well when you consider the over all sentiment these name were used to relay.

Indian = groups an entire people regardless of their individual languages and cultures.

Red Skins = Derogatory term used to identify any Native American.

Then there are the uses of the tribal names as well without permission I must add.

Oh well I digress.

You have the Marlins Owner all wrong. You see the Marlins have won a World Series in the past and then the owner simply auctioned off his players so he would not have to pay their salaries. This made the fans very upset and cost him mucho pennies.

That's why he did not want to make the Manny trade because if he had and they won the Worlds Series, he would have to keep Manny and that would cost tons of pennies.

The Owner of the Marlins has a Penney fetish and he rubs them so often and so hard that Abe Lincoln actually appears clean-shaven on most of them.

That's a little nostalgia from the wee little cellar.

I'm in South Florida and I'm not upset that he left at all. I'm rather happy about it to be honest.

Saban's main problem is he often opens his mouth when he shouldn't. He makes statements that have no basis in fact and is made to look stupid or illinformed by doing so. Is he a good coach at the College level? Yes he is. Should he be a public speeker? No he should not.

I say let him coach and let the games play but if he goes to open his mouth to a reporter, tackle him.
