I like Pocono. It was much better back in the day when NASCAR didn't mandate the gearing. But all the tracks were better before NASCAR started screwin around with everything.

There was a time in the late 80's when Goodyear and Hoosier ran tires at the same time. The two companies competed to see who could make the fastest tire and it caused the tires to be deemed unsafe so NASCAR decided to go with just 1 tire supplier. I feel times have changed a little bit, they should allow multiple tire suppliers as long as the tire conforms to some sort of size/weight standard, if the team wants a fast tire that wears out faster, or a gripping tire that is not as fast, or a hard tire that last forever but has very little grip... let them choose which company to roll with.

Why try capitalism when communism works I guess.

After looking at some of the lowlights (can't really call them highlights) from that event (can't really call it a race)... seems like the cars are still setup to run sideways, not as bad as the 70 at teh All-Star race, but still angled too much. That probably did in the right rear tires just as much as the track surface.


Goodyear should have never brought those tires to the track when they said they didnt even last 7 laps during the test session

Nice response... who knows what will happen before the first down of the season. You never know when your star QB will break a leg on a scramble or if that backup QB you have is a future #1 pick.
