i wouldn't bring in pete caroll's nfl experience, from what i recall his teams didnt do so hot. he coached a shiity jets team and took over in NE for parcells after the superbowl, and the team went on to lose more games every year he was there then the previous one.
and as for what hes done at usc, hes won one and a half national titles, even when the talent on those teams were far superior to other teams . a great coach gets his team to play against everybody not just against top teams. since the leinart bush et al team went to the nfl, all he has been able to do is win the rose bowl against the worst conference in the bcs. and on top of that, there is maybe one or two teams a year in the pac 10 that worth a damn, so winning that league isnt all that difficult.
the one thing ill give him his props for is his ability to recruit, but with norm chow and rick nuehisal at UCLA, looks like recruiting all the top talent in Cali just got a whole lot more difficult and it will be interesting to how if USC cankeep up its dominance

Championship teams always have a good center or power forward! Always!
that is bs. i dont believe jordan ever had a dominant post player, just him and pippen. wade and lebron would be better than jordan and pippen. with some good role players they would dominate the league the same way the bulls did
C Zo
F Beasley
F Marion
SG Wade
PG Calderon or Ford
thats clearly a playoff team in the weak east. this team could be a very good running team with zo starting a break with a monster block or marion with a steal and with ford racing the ball upcourt along side wade marion and beasley they would have plenty of finishers. in the half court you can play pick and roll all day with wade and beasley.
