Posted Sunday January 06, 2008, About: Grossman to QB Vikings?
Grossman should have taken any offer that was on the table when the Bears were winning games a year ago.
Posted Sunday January 06, 2008, About: Bonds on Oakland's radar
Billy Beane knows that if Bonds starts sending baseballs out of the park on a regular basis that teams will be ligning up to trade for him as the deadline approaches. There are always a lot of teams that want a big bat for the stretch run of the season. If Beane gets him cheap then he will be very easy to trade and if not he at least would sell a few tickets. When I go to A's games I always buy the nose bleed seats because I know that there will be plenty of open seats in the lower level.
Posted Sunday January 06, 2008, About: Kiffin stuck with Raiders coordinator
Another thing is that if we fired Rob Ryan then it would have been harder to convince Nnamdi Asomugha and Tommie Kelley to stay around long term. The Raiders defensive players love to work for this guy.
Posted Sunday January 06, 2008, About: Kiffin stuck with Raiders coordinator
Rob Ryan isn't the one missing gap assignments and he isn't the one tackling like a bull matador. "OLE" It hurt a lot when we lost Tommy Kelley for the season. He was our best overall D lineman at the time we lost him. His versatility allowed him to play DT and DE. All the Raiders need is a dominant, run stuffing DT and a SS that can be a force against the run. That would allow Michael Huff to do what he does best and roam the secondary. The Raiders were a few missed tackles and blown assignments away from contending for the AFC West.

However, I do believe that if Lane Kiffin could have guaranteed to Al Davis that his father would join the Raiders after the Bucs' season then Rob Ryan would have been served his walking papers.
Posted Sunday January 06, 2008, About: Bears free agents heading West?
Berrian would be a nice deep threat for JaMarcus Russell and the Raiders. Jerry Porter opted out of his deal so we need someone to replace him and Berrian would produce more big plays than Porter.

Lance Briggs would be a solid pickup for the 49ers but they sure should invest in a more important position. Briggs would benefit from playing next to Patrick Willis, like the way he benefits from playing next to Urlacher. He really isn't all that great, otherwise he would be playing the strong side of the defense.
Posted Friday January 04, 2008, About: Chiefs unlikely to trade stars
They should have let LJ walk and locked up Jared Allen to a long term deal. Looks like he'll be out of KC pretty soon unless they hit him with the franchise tag.
Posted Friday January 04, 2008, About: Chiefs unlikely to trade stars
HA HA HA. The Chiefs are stuck paying LJ big time money. I guess it works out because they were paying him "kibbles & bits" when he was carrying the team on his back.
Posted Wednesday January 02, 2008, About: Is Peterson's injured knee worse?
The Vikings have a great run blocking O Line. Chester Taylor was just as effective when he was called on to start. He also had a very impressive season last year.
Posted Sunday December 30, 2007, About: McFadden's Cadillac in question
This reminds me of when LeBron got that Hummer.
Posted Sunday December 30, 2007, About: Texans won't trade quarterback
If that 2nd round pick ends up being a starter and contributes right away then this trade wouldn't be a bad idea.
Posted Thursday December 27, 2007, About: Sapp seethes over ejection
That was 14 and half games worth of frustration that came out. The refs should be more professional and not go back and forth with the players.
Posted Thursday December 27, 2007, About: Browns standing by Anderson
It wouldn't be a bad idea to get your backup some experience before the playoffs. Every 2nd stringer is always one play away from being the starter.
Posted Tuesday December 25, 2007, About: Jackson: Kobe isn't going anywhere
Noam129
If there were guys in Europe that could hold Kobe to 10 points a game, believe me, they would be here in the states making millions.
Posted Tuesday December 25, 2007, About: Bulls may explore Wallace trade
Wallace for Artest. One teams trash could end up being the other's treasure.........or trash.
Posted Tuesday December 25, 2007, About: Vikings may have to chase McNabb
McNabb would excel in Minnesota. He would have Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor to play off of. What I mean is that with the Vikes he would be able to pass against a lot of 8 and 9 man fronts. Westbrook is a solid running threat but teams don't stack the box against him.
Posted Sunday December 23, 2007, About: Who will Parcells pick No. 1?
Nobody wants the #1 overall pick this year because that pick will cost them about $35 million guaranteed.
Posted Thursday December 20, 2007, About: Moore calls out Kings coaches
If he already said it to the coaches while on the bench then why does he need to mouth off to the media as well? If we do trade Artest then send this underachiever along with him.
Posted Thursday December 20, 2007, About: Raiders rushing by committee
No he was not already suspended when we signed him. Nobody signs a guy to a 2 yr 7 million dollar contract knowing that he will be out the first four games. Not even the Raiders.
Posted Thursday December 20, 2007, About: Latest in NFL-cable TV war
It's not the NFL in control of who gets to watch the NFL Network channel. It's Comcast trying to cash in on the NFL. The NFL loses ratings because not as many people are watching the game and the cable company loses customers because various satellite companies offer the NFL Network channel along with their basic package. If you have Comcast you have to order the "sports package" to get the NFL Network channel. Basically you have to pay for about 10 channels or so to watch the one you want. The sports package contains a bunch of "borderline" sports that I could care less about. Give me a sports package that consists of NFL, NBA, Boxing and MMA. I would be happy to pay a few extra bucks for that.
Posted Thursday December 20, 2007, About: Raiders rushing by committee
Watching Justin Fargas picking up chunks of yardage at a time was nice to see this year. I just don't know why it took this long for him to move into the starting position. We should have never brought in LaMont Jordan. Fargas could have been doing this for three years by now. We signed Rhodes to come in and produce but he himself F'd that up by getting suspended for the first 4 games. While he was out LaMont was one of the top rushers in the league and when Justin got his opportunity he took it and never let go.
Posted Wednesday December 19, 2007, About: Cowboys' Owens wants the ball
If he could get some separation from the coverage or hold on to the balls he does get then he would have more receptions. Quite a few of Romo's picks this season have came when he tried to force it to Owens.
