I dont think there is that much of a speed gap between some Big 10 schools (i.e. Ohio State, Michigan), and SEC schools. However, as someone pointed, the one area where the biggest adavantage for the SEC was the D-Line. That is where they change games.
BUT, this years' Ohio State D-Line is THE best D-Line in the country, and one of the deepest I've seen in a while. There are 6 future NFL first day picks I see in the league within the next 2 years.

everybody keeps ripping Purdue for the time out, and I understand---short term that it may have given Notre Dame a little help, BUT, nobody is mentioning that it actually was the right call. Because, the way the clock was being milked----Notre Dame could have scored with very very little time left, 10-12-15 seconds or less and Purdue would have had no chance to answer. So, Purdue HAD to call time outs in case ND scored to save some clock. Unfortunately for them they waiting too long/and they couldnt stop them on fourth down.

wow, at ease gentlemen! (including the amateur writer of the story)
he's a D-end rookie last year! geeze...one season! D-ends rarely contribute. I agree he was a non-factor, but perhaps he gained some valuable experience. NOW, he has a great defensive coach (Ryan), just have some PATIENCE, and watch---that kid will explode within the next few years, aided by Ryan's scheme on defense. Watch.
And, as for the idiot and complete moron ("cee-dub'), The Ohio State puts out just draft picks as any school in the nation, if not more.
Teddy Ginn has a very solid season last year and will only get better...he's a pro bowler within two years. And, Troy Smith looked good every time I watched him, check out his great QB rating, (its short, but for when he's been out there---he's done a great job).
He's just in an unfortunate situation, behind Flacco. I personally think that his hometown Browns should trade for him and give him a shot. Troy Smith is a helluva QB.

p.s. to the Buckeye hater..... 'Tone Holmes -- greatest Super Bowl catch ever. And, he had a solid season, with clutch plays throughout, and a great playoff season too.

This is an AMATERURISTIC ARTICLE.
The headline is deceiving.
The reason he picked the Irish is because Ohio State got a commit from Taylor Graham (Wheaton, IL prospect, son of former Buckeye and NFL QB Kent Graham).
So, obviously he was going to sign with somebody else after that....it's not much of him picking ND over OSU, but more of OSU picking the underrated, bigger-upsided Graham over this kid.

Crosby is a CLASS ACT, pure and simple. I like watching his post and pre - game interviews. He handles himself well. He is also THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD. We've seen that the whole playoffs, and Malkin is the second best. Ovechkin? no no no --- he's a hell of a pure shooter with skill, but that's it. Hes not complete.
Sid the Kid's determination will carry the hungry Pens over the top.

Did you not see the improvement in Conley the last few months of the season, when he was inserted as the regular starter. Look how all of his statistics improved. He just needed some NBA confidence, and he continue to improve. He will be an all-star within the next two seasons...guaranteed. And, yes, he and Oden obviously work well together. It makes sense. And, right now, you should get him before he's climbed up the ladder, which is inevitable. You can get him and save $ Paul.
Conley has tremendous upside.
Get Conley Blazers.
