That good to hear, someone be able to average 10 yards a carry behind the worst O-line in the league.
Posted Wednesday August 20, 2008, About: Manning won't guarantee Week 1 start
People act like the Bears have a shittee defense, the defense is healthy and has led the league is defensive points and turnovers when healthy like two or three years.

First time I've seen feared and Griffey in the same sentence this year. Yea he's hit over 600 homeruns but that in it self won't strike fear. Griffey had a wonderful career but he is done.
Sorry, the apostrophe didn't work on the first one

You might want to look up the word "fact" before you claim Griffey can hit a homerun at any point and he adds fear to any pitcher. Those are not facts as you say you are using. That's called delusional thinking. The only proven fact you need to see is a .245 average and a significant drop in power while still playing in the best hitter's park. Please don't tell me you're depending on Griffey to try and help carry you to the playoffs.

LoneStarMan | 08/14/08, 09:11 AM

Last time I checked .245 was was better than Konerko's .212. I'm not saying that Griffey by himself will put fear in pitchers, I'm saying that with an already powerful lineup how can it hurt a team to put someone that is well respected and a better hitter than the previous one in that spot. When ever you have someone who has hit 500 to 600 homers in there career is proven hitter and can go deep at any point. It's not like he only has 5 or 6 homers this year, he has 15 and thats more then a half dozen team leader's in HRs. Where do you see something I said that wasn't a fact.? All I was saying is that getting Griffey wasn't a bad thing for the Sox. Maybe they should have made a bigger trade but only giving up Masset and Richar for an upgraded bat is a pretty fair and cheap way to improve.

getting Griffey is a huge plus for other hitters with his presences in a already powerful lineup.

Keep drinking the kool-aid fella.

LoneStarMan | 08/13/08, 10:21 PM

So having someone that can hit a home run at any point and that teams intentionally walk quiet a bit doesn't add any fear to an opposing pitcher. Look at the lineup and tell me that adding another power bat doesn't put more pressure on a pitcher not to add that that player has proven that he can hit a home runs with 608 in his carreer. Theres no kool-aid needed with proven facts.

If the White Sox continue to make weak in-season trades like the one for Griffey they will be forever known as "The Pantyhose" !!1

Rog W. | 08/13/08, 11:30 AM

SInce when have the Sox made any weak/bad in-season trades. I don't consider trading for Griffey was bad, they gave up to prospects that weren't going to help any more than Griffey and getting Griffey is a huge plus for other hitters with his presences in a already powerful lineup. SInce 2004 the SOx haven't made any big in-season trades because they were need the last weak or bad trade came in 2005 with the Sox getting Geoff Blum for a high prospect who didn't turn into anything, yea Blum didn't do jack **** for the Sox during the season but in the WOrld Series he hit a 14inning game winning home run. So maybe we should revise that statement.

I'm suprised the Bucs don't want him to add on to the their QB collection.

It's nice when you can afford to sit 10 million dollars a year on a 54 foot bench.
Posted Tuesday August 12, 2008, About: Lions eject fan heckling Williams
Maybe Lazzara lost money from betting on that on Jon Kitna's 10 game guarantee last season and he feels its Willaims fault because he took plays off so Lazzara would lose the bet.

What we need is a White Sox/Cards series. That would drive the Cub fans up a wall............

Finally someone taught this little beeitch a lesson, first you disrespect Thome then you disrespect your manager. Looks like you will be have a seat on the pine.
Posted Wednesday August 06, 2008, About: Bears: Orton to start for now
I really wondering how the heII Orton got the nod. I went to 5 training camps for the Bears this season and Grossman has outplayed Orton **** over end and Orton still gets the nod. Grossman should really feel screwed because Orton has got picked off twice as many tames as Grossman and Orton has been going for way less difficult passes and Grossman and Orton have the exact same amount of bobbled the drop snap, they both have 4. Not only that but at the family night Grossman was 9 of 10 while Orton was either 6 of 10. It had to be a coin flip that decided this because if it was the coaches decision, they are total idiots.

""He was supposed to help bring home a ring for Cincinnati!!"
"whereas in Ohio all the locals wanted was, ""He was coming home to Cincinnati!!"

pw | 08/03/08, 07:21 AM

Well I read tons of Cinci newpapers and read alot of comments of Cinci fans complaining about Ken Griffey didn't do this and that while in Cinci but it wasn't his fault that the injury's came. Yes you may have want Ken to just be home but about 80% of you guys were celebrating for him to leave home. And there was plenty of Cinci fans complaining that they brought him here to win a World Series but no matter how good a player is you have to put players around him and the Reds didn't do that at all.

Unsportsmanlike conduct on #89, punching a man while he is down, 2 game suspension, automactic seat at home til week 3.
Posted Saturday August 02, 2008, About: Griffey, Cincy end chilly relationship
Reds Rule you're right what I read were the trade description of what the Reds offered but I had to go to the commissioner and he made the Sox have to go half in on all the situations. The Reds and Sox split the remaining 6 mil and they will split the 16.5 mil if the Sox chose to use the opt. and split 4mil if they decide to buyout. Thanks for correcting it I didn't realize that it got changed by the commissioner. Either way there really is nothing for the Sox to lose since they only gave up two pretty shitee players for him.
Posted Saturday August 02, 2008, About: Griffey, Cincy end chilly relationship
The Reds are paying all of Griffey's contract this year and if the Sox decide to keep him next year they will pay half of the 16mil, also the Reds agree to pay the whole 4mil buyout if the Sox decide not to use the option.
Posted Thursday July 31, 2008, About: Griffey era in Cincy ends on ugly note
People act like Griffey was suppose to take the whole team on his back and give them a World Series. Sorry but look at what the Reds have given Griffey to work with since he has been here, beside Dunn he really hasn't had anyone that can make any noise with him, every time you look up they're giving up players that could be something for more prospects.
Posted Thursday July 31, 2008, About: Where will Sox play Griffey?
The Griffey of 2008 is nothing more than a "fourth" O.F.. Of course Ozzie will stab one of his starters in the back to accomidate him - probably Konerko !!!

Hub Man | 07/31/08, 08:12 PM

Exactly how is Ozzie stabbing someone in the back when he has put all his confidence in Konerko and letting him try to fight through this offensive problems. Ozzie has never done anything but protect his players even if it cost him his job. And when have you ever seen Ozzie stab his own players in the back. You obviously know not a damn thing about the White Sox or baseball .
Posted Thursday July 31, 2008, About: Where will Sox play Griffey?
He hasnt had a 40 HR season since 2000... How can you argue the numbers?? He has only averaged 24 HR a season wearing a Reds Jersey and thats been for 8 years.. The stats speak for themselves he's way past his prime.. The only thing that gave him any news this year was the fact he made it to the 600 mark but it took him almost 20 years to get there..He's washed up and cost 16 mil next year. It's not worth it to the Reds..

CarsonPalmer09 | 07/31/08, 09:53 PM

Well what do you expect from somebody who is on a team that is fighting with the Pirates the last 8 season for last. If I was a player that was on a shittee team like the Reds, I wouldn't be trying to go ball out for a team that really doesn't appreciate me. With a change of scenary and a chance at the playoffs for the first time since 1997, Griffey is going to be playing alot better than Cinci is making him out to be.
Posted Wednesday July 30, 2008, About: All quiet on trade front for Dunn
Why would the White Sox need him when they have Quentin and Dye as the corner outfielders. Unless the Sox are going to trade him for Thome and a prospect and put Dunn at DH.
