Yeah, and Jerry Jones has granted permission. That tells more of the story than we give credit for.

The other piece that tells the story is the fact that Zach Thomas, a model citizen, is refusing to play for the Cowboys another snap. He's opting out, and asking to play again somewhere else...this team is just too dysfunctional. I personally am thinking about boycotting the Cowboys for a season...just so I can preserve my physical health (headaches, blood pressure, etc...)

Unfortunately, because I live in Baltimore...I didn't see an ounce of the game, but I do know that ESPNEWS is having a FIELD DAY with this result.

I really think we should draft a new owner. Garrett's horrendous playcalling, and the outright flatness of the team's play today had poor coaching written all over it.

Comparing Tyler Perry and Pacman Jones?

Tyler apparently has a decent product that has resurrected an entire network, and also touches on a lot of issues that are being ignored on the main networks due to capitalism driving the market. There are some acting concerns regarding his cast, but his shows are good wholesome fun.

I personally wish we had more of that on the main networks, to replace shows filled with greed and materialistic pursuit.

This has gotten out of hand (understatement, I know). I almost think that the best thing that could happen to the Cowboys would be missing the playoffs completely. I think at that point, it would be so embarrassing that Jerry Jones would be forced to make some major moves representative of his newfound humility.

It just seems that if they squeeze into the playoffs...and say win a game...that it wouldn't seem as though real changes would be needed, and it would be another year of cosmetic changes when an overhaul is in order.
Posted Thursday December 11, 2008, About: Creditors unhappy with Vick's disclosure
I certainly understand. It's unfair to label servicemen (my father included, 23years) as "mindless sheep". Ultimately they have to perform a job just as our superiors would have us perform a job as well.

I certainly understand your point regarding the broad generalizations as well. I guess I didn't do enough to separate the freedom of speech with basic tactfulness and respect.

Loki makes some very valid points that unfortunately get lost in the emotion. Theoretically, we all want to say that he could have expressed it better, but in this country there is no proper way to express disdain for a war. It's viewed as a personal attack on the men and women who serve. The truth is that this war is a lie, and I am not sure if those that did serve and I would come back and do it again. This is considering the fact that it's an oil war with selfish capitalistic interests.

Loki and I don't agree, and went out of their way to offend religion and God earlier, but right is right. Regardless of how I may feel personally, Loki has an incredible point here.
Posted Friday December 05, 2008, About: Emmitt: Current Cowboys just 'mediocre'
Emmitt is right. Until they get a coach that can lay down some law, and one---just one player who will stand up and be the leader in that locker room, they won't get far. Everyone in there thinks that if they can just be a superstar then that should be enough.

Nice try.
Posted Thursday December 04, 2008, About: Pierce to play ball with Plaxico's prosecutors
Also the Giants tried to cover it up as the report on Sportscenter this morning surrounded Plaxico's late night call to the trainer who told him what hospital to report to for a hook-up without any documentation. Apparently, Plax didn't listen and went to the wrong hook up.

Posted Thursday August 07, 2008, About: Jets could owe Packers a No. 1 pick
Brett isn't ready to face New England twice a year. Whats going to happen...since they both were wrong in this case (Packers and Favre), is that Aaron Rodgers will be the biggest crock of crap, Green Bay will go 6-10 and everyone will have hell to pay.

On Favre's side, he too will be the biggest crop of crap, NY Jets will go 6-10, and everyone will have hell to pay.

Only Favre will then retire after the season and everyone will be able to breathe again.
Posted Thursday August 07, 2008, About: Pacman decision by Aug. 30
To err is human...to forgive is divine. Adam didn't shoot that man who can't walk, so I wish all of these perfect people (at least behind their computer screens) would not be so feeble minded as to judge a situation by the media's reporting of it.

Otherwise, I hope you suffer eternal torture for everything you've ever done in life from stealing the pencil in the 3rd grade, killing an innocent bug, or telling a little lie to stay out of trouble. Its just as bad---and to think otherwise is an elitist, out of touch, conceited, not-my-sin view on your perceived perfection.
