Not at all. In most every case, Sabathia will leave the team he is traded to and test the market. Thus money is a non issue...
It Includes star prospect Matt LaPorta, Taylor Green and potential star Lorenzo Cain.
According to the report the Brewers will hear back from Cleveland anywhere from Sunday to Tuesday...aka before CC's next start.
Also, the Brewers are the only ones to submit a final offering (not just proposed trades). So that pretty much makes this article obsolete.
I will tell you why the Brewers are gonna get CC.
Cubs- NO PROSPECTS. End of story.
Phillies- they have low level prospects, nothing major, and they are all pitchers.
Yanks- Wont seperate from their top prosepcts
Dodgers- Well, they fall out of every trade race the past 20 years.
The Brewers on the other hand have a lot of prospects and are willing to seperate from them.
Not to mention the Brewers are looking for veteran pitchers who can get it done. And Gregs older brother is the Brewers pitching coach...smells like a good fit to me.
It seems like a yearly tradition with the cubs...Pie is called up, people praise him as the next great cub CF...he soon bats below .100 and they demote him.
And the cubs add another overpaid, overrated player in Edmonds...

Sometimes when someone is seriously injured it isnt funny...what if he had head trauma and died (for some unkown reason). It would be like walking into a hospital and laughing and at all the people in there.
Now that is extreme, but I saw the play, and some damage could have been done to his mental state.
I was yelled at anytime I moved, I mean I can take a lot of crap because hell, its baseball! But you only can go so far, so when someone calls me a F^g, I lose all respect for their fans.
Not only does it open more jobs when the construction is happening, but for months it opens up jobs for people in the stadium and in the fan zones.
This is possibly the dumbest article I have ever read.
He played along side the youngest team in the NFL, and did this with a second year coach.
His reputation helps him, but you are really dumb if you think he got in soley on his reputation.
And everyone saying that Z wont leave because he likes to hit too much has to be kidding themselves. Thats like me saying that the Brewers are going to sign Johan Santana in 09. Z doesnt care about hitting THAT much, he is going where the most cash is, and personally i think its the Mets, Yankees or Braves...all three want more starters and have PLENTY of money to throw around.
Anyways, The Cubs are choking just as bad as the Brew Crew, actually even worse. Z cant win for **** and with the loss of Soriano means you cant score more than 4 runs...I am a Brewer fan but I respect all teams, but I am saying this now, watch out for the Cards, they are making a push.
And whoever said the Cubs and Zambrano are close to a deal is possibly the stupidest man/woman alive. Z wont even talk till the end of the season, and chances are he will have to move on, because he wants lots of money and with the Cubs HUGE payroll as it is and cant afford him.
Realize this, the Brewers arent a fluke, they have the youngest team and the brightest stars. The Cubs are growing old but have some good youth talent but if the Cubs want to be in the race next year or the years after...they have to get younger (and find a REAL catcher).
