Not at all. In most every case, Sabathia will leave the team he is traded to and test the market. Thus money is a non issue...
Posted Sunday July 06, 2008, About: Four teams chasing deal for Sabathia
The Brewers have submitted their offer for CC.

It Includes star prospect Matt LaPorta, Taylor Green and potential star Lorenzo Cain.

According to the report the Brewers will hear back from Cleveland anywhere from Sunday to Tuesday...aka before CC's next start.

Also, the Brewers are the only ones to submit a final offering (not just proposed trades). So that pretty much makes this article obsolete.

I will tell you why the Brewers are gonna get CC.

Cubs- NO PROSPECTS. End of story.
Phillies- they have low level prospects, nothing major, and they are all pitchers.
Yanks- Wont seperate from their top prosepcts
Dodgers- Well, they fall out of every trade race the past 20 years.

The Brewers on the other hand have a lot of prospects and are willing to seperate from them.

can we just forget about favre. He was a great QB, hall of fame bound, but really...just leave the poor guy alone!
Posted Saturday June 21, 2008, About: Sources: Packers aren't on Taylor's list
this guy is just dumb. He has a chance to win the super bowl in GB, he has a chance to start opposite another great DE...but GB isnt on his list...idiot.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Why Maddux won't go to Reds
I could see Maddux in Milwaukee. This team has gotten themselves out of the cellar and back into the race winning 6 straight (before colorado).

Not to mention the Brewers are looking for veteran pitchers who can get it done. And Gregs older brother is the Brewers pitching coach...smells like a good fit to me.
Posted Friday June 06, 2008, About: Four teams open to Taylor trade
cowboys wont get him...they have nothing to trade anymore.
Posted Tuesday June 03, 2008, About: Agent: Hall wants out of Milwaukee
Trade him! It just makes more room for top prospect Matt Gammel...he is a beast.

Posted Tuesday May 13, 2008, About: Cubs to sign Edmonds, demote Pie
And once again Felix Pie proves he is a horrible baseball player, and I bet next year they will bring him up AGAIN and quickly demote him when he starts sucking.

It seems like a yearly tradition with the cubs...Pie is called up, people praise him as the next great cub CF...he soon bats below .100 and they demote him.

And the cubs add another overpaid, overrated player in Edmonds...

Sometimes when someone is seriously injured it isnt funny...what if he had head trauma and died (for some unkown reason). It would be like walking into a hospital and laughing and at all the people in there.

Now that is extreme, but I saw the play, and some damage could have been done to his mental state.
Posted Saturday April 19, 2008, About: Are Cubs fans 'most obnoxious?'
I agree. I went to a game in Wrigley with a Braun Jersey, and I had 3 beers spilled on me...they were not accidents.

I was yelled at anytime I moved, I mean I can take a lot of crap because hell, its baseball! But you only can go so far, so when someone calls me a F^g, I lose all respect for their fans.

They definetley need WR's, but not Jackson
Posted Wednesday April 16, 2008, About: Soriano injured making signature hop
Can he be more overpaid? I highly doubt it, plus he isnt that good of a hitter and is a horrid outfielder
Posted Friday April 04, 2008, About: Has Miller Park been worth it?
The stadium greatly increases the economy.

Not only does it open more jobs when the construction is happening, but for months it opens up jobs for people in the stadium and in the fan zones.

This is possibly the dumbest article I have ever read.
Posted Monday February 18, 2008, About: McNair plans Ravens return
angrychinaman, are you serious? Favre probably had the best year of his career, he was second in MVP voting (although it wasnt even close) and led his team to the NFC championship.

He played along side the youngest team in the NFL, and did this with a second year coach.

His reputation helps him, but you are really dumb if you think he got in soley on his reputation.
Posted Sunday August 19, 2007, About: MLB official: Cubs-Zambrano deal dud
I agree I think Z may have been a mistake for the cubs. Putting too much money into one player isnt a great plan. And by the time he enters the 3rd or 4th year of that contract he may be past his prime, because like they said, hes a workhorse, and many pitchers who eat innings like he does while getting huge strikeout numbers tend to taper off at about 29-30 because they are tired. He is a great pitcher and will be but they signed him for too long.
Posted Friday August 17, 2007, About: Yanks won't chase free-agent A-Rod
My guess is he will go to the dodgers. After falling out of the divsion race they will look to add some major fire power for next years team. Also look for them to go after Johan Santana in 09 (maybe even next year).
Posted Wednesday August 15, 2007, About: Rangers to bid on Cubs hurler?
Cuban isnt going to get the cubs...end of discussion.

And everyone saying that Z wont leave because he likes to hit too much has to be kidding themselves. Thats like me saying that the Brewers are going to sign Johan Santana in 09. Z doesnt care about hitting THAT much, he is going where the most cash is, and personally i think its the Mets, Yankees or Braves...all three want more starters and have PLENTY of money to throw around.
Posted Wednesday August 15, 2007, About: Rangers to bid on Cubs hurler?
He wont buy the cubs, all other owners have to approve the new owner and to be approved you have to be in the owners circle which is a very tight group and trust me, Cuban is not in it.

Anyways, The Cubs are choking just as bad as the Brew Crew, actually even worse. Z cant win for **** and with the loss of Soriano means you cant score more than 4 runs...I am a Brewer fan but I respect all teams, but I am saying this now, watch out for the Cards, they are making a push.

And whoever said the Cubs and Zambrano are close to a deal is possibly the stupidest man/woman alive. Z wont even talk till the end of the season, and chances are he will have to move on, because he wants lots of money and with the Cubs HUGE payroll as it is and cant afford him.

Realize this, the Brewers arent a fluke, they have the youngest team and the brightest stars. The Cubs are growing old but have some good youth talent but if the Cubs want to be in the race next year or the years after...they have to get younger (and find a REAL catcher).
