The playbook has a LOT to do with overthrowing receivers. Scripted plays has a QB throwing to where a receiver is GOING to be, not where he is. If the QB doesn't know the playbook, it's pretty likely that he will overthrow the receiver. Let's give the kid a chance to learn. As I recall, even Peyton Manning didn't have a good rookie season.
