True statement. He had only just begun to blossom as a true shortstop here. Everybody here realized his potential. He was advised by EVERYONE except Scott Boras to resign with Seattle. The total package difference between Seattle and Texas was 7 mil and two more guaranteed years.

I'm sure A-Rod desperately misses his little bungalow back in Seattle... Zapp Brannigan.

I would hardly call a view condo in Seattle a bungalow...

Remember when you were still with the Mariners Pay-Rod? We do. It's quite possibly the last time you ever felt LOVE. You kept telling us that whole season how it wasn't about the money, that you wanted to win and that Seattle offered you a great chance to do that. Lou Piniella advised you to stay, the fans wanted you to stay and Seattle offered to make you the highest paid player in Mariner history but you opted to bolt for Texas to a losing team. You only listen to the money and that makes you nothing but a mercenary. Lou and our great Mariner teams are history now thanks to an incompetent front office, but you could have been part of something very special. Karma sucks, doesn't it?

Love and miss Sweet Lou. He's forgotten more about baseball than the Mariner's CEO Howard Lincoln will ever know. He will take the Cubbies to the Big Show if he has to drag them kicking and screaming the whole way.
