Sandburg is an animal at Tennessee. I have been to a couple of their games this year, and he is always in an umps face for something. He reminds me of Billy Martin. The over/under when he gets to Chicago is officially set at 20 ejections in year one.

Not only that but doing the math he would effectively eliminate the teams he is supposedly trying to get bids to BCS bowls(the MWC). There is no way for them to play 20 games against big six schools and still play their conference schedule since the MWC isn't one of the big six conferences.

Its convienant cathartifan starts his time frame for measureing who the best conference is right after the ACC won 3 straight titles. Duke twice and Carolina 1. Even still in the last 15 years the UNC has won twice (2009, 2005) made the final four 7 times(1995,1997,1998,2000,2005,2008,2009) Duke won 1(2001) title and made the final four 4 times(1994,1999,2001,2004). Maryland won 1 title(2002) and made the final four 1 other time(2001). Georgia Tech was runner up to UConn in 2004.

Over the same span the SEC does have 5 titles Arkansas in 1994, UK in 1996 and 98, and Florida in 2006 and 07. Final Four appearances though is lacking Arkansas in 94 and 95, UK in 96,97,98. Florida in 94,2000,06,07, and Miss St. made the final four in 96.

Now lets do the math that 4 titles (ACC) to 5 (SEC) and 14 Final Fours (ACC) to 11 (SEC). Funny though he neglected to point out his time frame starts at 15 years in stead of 20 where the ACC would have 3 more titles and 7 more final four appearances.

Funny you should mention a tape of their national championship. You can go to just about any sporting goods store in the state of Tennessee that is inside of any mall and see that game playing the entire day. It cracks me up especially since I live in Knoxville and don't like Tennessee.

Even the media in Tennessee talk about what a smart as.$ Coach G. is. Doesn't matter if its players, media, or fans. I think he rubs people the wrong way and that has caused people to be a little less forgiving than they otherwise might have been.
