I like Oakland as one of my favorite teams. Detroit is downright nasty though. Who would have thought that a staff with Verlander on it would have him as the third best pitcher? Arguably he was the third best pitcher on that staff this year behind Scherezer and Sanchez.

According to Lane Kiffen he would be pumping gas after college.

For me personally I handicap a QB like Keenum\Weedon\Jones because they throw the damn ball 50-60 times a game. So it doesn't say who the better QB is based on just numbers. Its like back in the day when Andre Ware and then David Klingler were running the run and shoot offense. Yes they put up stupid numbers but just about any QB could throw the ball 50-60 times a game and have 4 or 5 hundred yards.

So rudes argument is because one person didn't average or get more yards against each one of these teams what all the running backs together got against these teams that he didn'thave an outstanding season.
Not really, because Matthieu is only covering 1 reciever and there are other people on the field that need to be covered. He can't cover them all at the same time.

Read that article. The SEC commissioner tried to propose a plus 1 system a few years ago and everyone but the ACC commish flat out rejected it. The ACC who hasn't had a team within farting distance of a national title since Florida State 11 years ago was on board.

I agree the penalties should be equally punishing for the offense as the defense. So there should be no reason the offense can get 30 or 40 yards on an interference penalty because there is no way for the defense to get that much if it is offensive pass interference. Hell I would be happy if the refs just called offensive pass interference.

Ga. Southern is a title contender. In the FCS.

MLB was around before the mid 80's. Now I'm all confused.

I think coming back as the ace of the staff says more about the low quality of the staff when he returned as starter than him being a superhuman pitcher. That's just me though

Better stuff maybe, but not nearly as reliable. You could count on Glavine taking the mound every fifth start. Smoltz not so much. Post season Smoltz was one of the best ever though.
Kershaw has a nasty curve too.

1 +1 = 2, 2 + 2 = 4, etc , etc, etc,
I think Ryan's curveball was a better out pitch than his heat. I seen him a many a times make hitters look stupid with it. Falling down in the box because they think its coming for their heads then all the sudden it breaks over the plate for a strike.
Outlaw will probably take Glavine's change up, or Maddox's slider, or Smoltz's splitter.

I think they would be easier to argue than Murray over Pujols

I was thinking Alomar and Sandberg too at 2nd.

You can't look at the UNC-Michigan State game and really say a lot about either team. They played that game on top of an aircraft carrier with the wind blowing pretty good. Jump shots and free throws that were missed on the deck that massive boat due to the wind aren't going to be a problem indoors.

Not to mention injuries could play a part. UNC is absolutely loaded with experience and excellent young talent. Sullinger is nice and may be stronger than any one of UNC's big men, but there lies the problem UNC can throw two or three guys at him all game long and I think I like the odds of one guy wearing down before two or three.
