QBs need a good defense and a solid running game. So wait, which one of these exactly didn't Rex Grossman have?!
Posted Friday October 30, 2009, About: Las Vegas wants NBA team for new arena
Why doesn't the Las Vegas mayor worry about jobs for his constituency first? Probablly the highest unemployment nationally besides Detroit. And don't tell me that an NBA team would pay for itself. Economic analysis consistently shows that the money cities uses to court a pro sports team is rarely if ever reimbursed by tax revenue or job creation.
Posted Tuesday October 13, 2009, About: Shockey still bitter over Giants days
The game has "game of the week" written all over it. I'm surprised it wasn't flexed (or whatever they call it) into primetime.

As for Shockey, he needed an assertive, fiery QB to scream at him when he was giving less than 100% (which was often). Eli was too young and too passive at that stage of his career to do anything about it. It's also undeniable how much better of a QB Eli became without the two cry babies (Tiki and Shockey) around to whine about getting the ball. It was good to see Drew Brees get in his face after Shockey was running the wrong routes/dropping the ball last year.

I like how Eli has always handled his detractors with class. Saying all the right things about Jeremy "Boo-hoo they want me to block" Shockey and Tiki "**** at broadcasting" Barber. He's exactly the type of franchise QB we need here in NY, and his calm demeanor generates zero stories for the NY media.
Posted Thursday October 08, 2009, About: Will Jets trade keep LeBron out of New York?
I thought about this yesterday, then slapped myself because it was so absurd. Now I wake up today and its an article in the Post. Figures.
Posted Thursday October 08, 2009, About: Reasons why Browns traded Edwards
This whole "I'm a Michigan Man" thing is the biggest load of BS I've ever heard. You come in, do your job, and play well, you will be loved. No matter where you go. Instead you drop everything that comes your way and continue to wonder why no one likes you. WTF.
Posted Monday October 05, 2009, About: Favre to Packer fans: Just move on
Favre is honest?! How about he tells us how he really feels: that coming back to play is nothing more than an attempt to get revenge against the Packers. Instead he says its about coming back to prove something to himself. Whereas last year with the Jets he was insisting he had nothing left to prove. Give me a break. This is one of the most dishonest, disingenuous players I've ever seen, and by "saying the right thing" and never painting himself as controversial, he's managed to keep his golden boy reputation in the media. If you ask me, he has the best PR guys money could buy to do the crap he's pulled and to still be looked at as one of the "good guys."

You know who is honest? TO. The things coming out of his mouth may be 100% hogwash and completely egocentric, but at least he tells you exactly what he's thinking when he's thinking it. He and Favre are equally selfish, but TO gets the bad rap because HE's honest, whereas Favre and his spin doctors manage to spin his ego-fueled desires with noble overtones.

Can't believe I just "supported" TO...
Posted Friday September 25, 2009, About: Tuck hates the Cowboys even more
Love some of the retarded cowboys fans on here calling Tuck a baby. What they fail to realize is that Floz-smell could have just continues to spout venom since he's embarrassed he's a horrible pass blocker and the feud will continue. Not only did he do it once, he did it again to Osi Umenyiora later in the game. I hope someone trips Demarcus Ware and he sits out a game or two. Then you'll understand Justin Tuck's thinking.

And for the Cowboys fans who have the good sense to admit that Tuck is right, you have my respect.
Posted Wednesday September 23, 2009, About: Giants LB rips new Cowboys Stadium
It's this kind of idiocy that keeps stupid projects like this going. Every economic analysis has shown that something as simple as building a road creates more jobs and does more for the economy per capita than something like funding a stadium for a private pro-league team which DOES NOT re-distribute any of its profits to the community. But yeah. Keep spouting numbers as if you have anything to back them up.
Posted Monday August 24, 2009, About: Manny hears boos in L.A.
Funny, you think he'd hear the boo's when he was outed as a steroid user. Instead its not until he makes a bad play that they're heard.
Posted Friday August 21, 2009, About: Sources: Mets refuse Sheff's extension demand
Well said #1. This guy seems to think he's the same player he was when he was using the BALCO butt cream. He was a scrap heap pickup by the Mets who has been serviceable, but that doesn't give him the right to make demands of management.
Posted Sunday August 09, 2009, About: Brady to benefit from Eli's contract?
I'm not sure how little Brady will take. He took a lot less the last time his contract came up, and until they went out and got Randy Moss, the Pats did very little to surround him with talent, even allowing his favorite (although over-rated) targets like Deion Branch to walk. That said, the Pats did go get Randy Moss and they paid him, so they have been taking steps lately to keep him happy. We'll see what happens.
Posted Sunday August 09, 2009, About: Prince plunking pleases Dodgers hitters
Jesus Christ, I'M A YANKEES FAN! Just because I'm currently located in Boston doesn't mean I was born and raised there! People are still allowed to live in a locality without being die hard fans of the local teams, right?
Posted Sunday August 09, 2009, About: Prince plunking pleases Dodgers hitters
I'm from New York and a big Yankees fan, currently living in Boston. How many Red Sox fans would go by a name like "BigBlue4You?"
Posted Sunday August 09, 2009, About: Prince plunking pleases Dodgers hitters
Did anyone watch the so called "plunking" of Manny? The ball clipped Manny's jersey, barely touched him. And for that, Fielder deserved to get drilled in the ****? Please. Mota is a **** who has a history of being a chicken **** and running away (see what happened vs. Mike Piazza).

And for Manny, he should be hit every time for trying to become the second pregnant man, after this guy: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Story?id=6244878&page=1
Posted Sunday August 09, 2009, About: Jesse Jackson: NFL colluding against Vick?
Why does a guy with a dogfighting conviction deserve employment in the NFL whereas an average person on the street probably wouldn't get a second chance?
Posted Friday August 07, 2009, About: Is Smoltz done?
On the topic of NESN sucking, there was a guy on there the other day who actually said that John Lester is the premier lefty power pitcher in baseball. So yeah, I'll take a little YES favoritism over NESN fanboy-ism any day of the week.
Posted Friday August 07, 2009, About: Is Smoltz done?
At least you weren't in Boston having to listen to Dave Roberts, the awful replacement for Jerry Remy. When Pedroia pokes that HR over the right field wall, all he does is slober over how he did such a great job going the other way with a pitch on the outside part of the plate. When Damon hits a homer to almost the exact same spot, he complains about how that is a double in any other stadium. Then Kotchman hits one into the exact same area, and he starts slobbering again over how he can be on the bench for so long and get back into the lineup and be productive. Then Melky pounds the tar out of one and he says absolutely nothing.

Really stupid how this guy got a broadcasting job with the Red Sox. Didn't he only play for them for like 2 or 3 months?
Posted Wednesday July 29, 2009, About: What did Red Sox offer Jays for Halladay?
You should be real happy with New England sports. An aging Celtic team, a Baseball team with no offense or starting pitching behind Beckett and Lester, a football team whose cornerstone player is coming off of ACL surgery, and a hockey team that just choked in the playoffs. What's not to love?
Posted Wednesday July 29, 2009, About: What did Red Sox offer Jays for Halladay?
18-1
Posted Friday July 24, 2009, About: Mystery surrounding Bucs guard continues
Drugs wear off. This sounds like a severe neurological or mental disorder. We have a double standard in this country that allows idiots like #1 to call people suffering from mental conditions "wackos." Would anyone insult a person suffering from cancer? The mentally diseased deserve more compassion than they get.
Posted Thursday July 23, 2009, About: Uncomfortable truth behind Winslow's infection
You're an idiot. People don't get their testicles drained for STDs. Bacterial ones are treated with antibiotics, and viral ones often can't be cured but can be suppressed by anti-virals. If you want to talk like a doctor, the least you can do is go on Wikipedia and read something.
