Hermida, Johnson, & Uggla are all expendable. Uggla will actually fetch a decent player or some decent prospects. No big losses here. Personally, I think Bonifacio will be ready to takeover at 2B next year. They could use a good defender who can hit at 3B & maybe a veteran pitcher, but other than that, they seem pretty much set.

Ichiro's surrounded by a bunch of underperforming Putzes, hitting over .300, getting well over 200 hits, stealing over 30 bases per season. What exactly would he be getting held "accountable" for? Excelling at baseball? Quit whining you Putz. You'll fit in great with the Mets.

The Dodgers aren't going to "save" any $. They're talking about a deferment, meaning the Dodgers will still be on the hook for AJ's $, but it'll be spread out over more years. Yeah, I agree with most everyone else saying Jones isn't worth $1 mil let alone 12-15 mil. The guy's last 2 seasons have been pathetic (1 w/ ATL & 1 w/ L.A.). It's not a fluke. He's done, wheel him into the nearest strip club & leave him there.

What happened is his agents used a term sheet (basically a contract that was ready to be signed by Furcal) as leverage to get another bidder. It has already been said again and again that this is never done in this business. Furcal's agents scrwd the Braves, but I hold him just as responsible. Very very low class.

I'm not sure the idea was for Furcal to play 2nd as it was to trade Escobar. Regardless, Furcal & his agents are lowlife. Unbelievable from a man who allegedly enjoyed playing in Atlanta & had incredible "respect" for Bobby Cox. Absolutely disgraceful & I'm definitley going to be booing Furcal at any opportunity in the future.
