KU would hold it's own starting lineup, but I'm not sure about going to the bench. They'd be deep at forward, but weak at guard. C-Wilt Chamberlain, F-Danny Manning, F-Paul Pierce, G-Jo Jo White, G-Darnell Valentine. They'd have to do all their damage up front, and could.
Don't know if it's louder than Allen Fieldhouse (quite possible), but Allen is definitely the best home court advantage. Two 60+ home winning streaks in the last 20 years.
Darth is right that left painted himself into a corner. He said it's a big misconception that you "can" ride a hot goalie to the Cup. Can you? Of course you can, but maybe he should have talked about how that's not as big a factor any more.
For all the crap Darth is getting about going back to pre-lockout for examples Boss only went back to last year. Just because it happened last year does not mean that is the standard. '09 if the Red Wings won Ozzie would have won the Conn Smythe, and Fleury won the last two games in the Final for them. The 'Lanche rode Roy all the time, Jiggy, Ward, Brodeur, Hasek, Belfour. Now a lot of those teams had talent in front of them, but you CAN ride a hot goalie to the Cup.
It is the All-Seeing Eye from the one dollar bill, the Latin means "He has given approval to our undertakings" and "New Order of the Ages." But really it means Santapig sees all!
As the picture caption states on SI's site: a country smaller than Connecticut and less population than Houston. It's a tiny country. It's rich, but where are they going to fit all these stadiums that will be needed?
Curtis Martin is #4 all time in rushing, did it in just ten years. I think he's in there. Just as in a single game, for his career he was so consistent you just didn't realize how quickly his numbers were adding up.
With only one pick from each country, it's hard to pick from Sweden...Lidstrom, Sedin, Zetterberg, Lundqvist. Finding good enough forwards without U.S., Russia and Canada is hard enough, while other countries have "capable enough" goaltenders.
Alabama knows what a team (Utah) from a smaller conference can do. You can't write these teams off because of the conference they come from. I can't see why people can't say that Boise State is a good team. Let the rest of the year play out and see where they stand near the end of the year.
No Zetterberg? He's better than the two centers listed. The only question is if you take Sedin over Zetterberg for your Swedish player, a toss up for me.
