Okay Mr. Bitter. I love the conspiracy theories that come out...I think the commish GAVE the Pens the Cup too, bribed the Wings to lay down in 7 games. But why ever listen to reason or have a decent debate when you can just be an ass?

So if, as you say, "goaltending will always be their biggest question mark", how are they "exactly" like the Pens 7 years ago? MAF is in the top tier of goalies, DiPeitro can't even put together anything resembling a full season.

And when you have once in a generation talent like a Crosby, Malkin or Ovechkin around, it's hard to make that comparison, even though Tavares is a very good player.

Perhaps, but the Pens don't have any albatros type contracts like the Isles have been guilty of. Plus, they have an accomplished GM instead of a novice like Snow.

DiPietro has proven himself to be nothing more than an average goalie who is one of the most injury prone guys in the League. The Capitals would be a closer comparrison to what the Pens have done, minus the Cup of course.

The PP was anemic even with Sid and Geno. The biggest problem was that they were always looking for the highlight reel goal...pass, pass, pass, pass pass. Sometimes it's all about firing the puck at the net and picking up the garbage.
