I think they'd rather pay him that for 1 year than to sign a long term contract with him at his age.. It makes sense.. and yes Chad JOHNSON needs to go but he will also fufill his contract through 2010... This comes from a recent interview with owner Mike Brown...

yea its just a one year tag the teams can put on players.. they never use it on real franchise players except in this case.. something like that.. after next year I don't think too many people will look at him because of age..
