this is not the answer. The league has passed him by, HIRE AVERY JOHNSON, PLEASE!!!!!! Hes young enough, and not too far removed from playing to motivate these young millionaire players of today. Dirk aside, every one else hes coached has gotten better as a player and as a person.

He needs to stay there and finish the deal, win a championship. His GM should help him out more than he has with players around him. They need a shooter, michael redd was who they needed and he seems to be available now so thats who they should target. Z is not getting any younger either so a big is necessary too.

this trade should happen now, before the bulls management overthinks it and then it doesn't happen (Kobe, Garnett, Gasol) Marion would be perfect with Rose, Noah, Deng, and Gooden, bring gordan and Nocioni off the bench. Trying to get Carmello would be a nice fit too if they would take Deng, Gooden and Thomas for him and camby.

i think Iverson is the reason for the demise of carmelo in denver. both need the ball all the time, neither seems to be able to adjust his game to accomodate the other. send him to chicago, where all they have is complimentary players where no one wants the ball and they all defer. Send Dang, Gordan and Tyus Thomas to denver in return.

i think he is a tremendous talent who has had some bad stuff happen around him (father died) made some immature decisions (fake ID, sleeping in instead of going to class) but has been given up on way too soon. he's 20 years old, they could have put someone older on the team from the start to try and mentor/teach him some of the life skills stuff that he obviously didn't get from home but desparately needs. He'll succeed tho, because of his RAW talent. colleges profit financially greatly because of it (kids talent) and most kids don't get anything.
