I see OSU, PSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern and maybe MSU or Purdue beating Cincy.

By joining the Big-10, ND would have access to many other nice bowl games if they miss the BCS. As it is now it's the BCS or some obscure bowl.

I agree with your assessment, but would add this about LMT. He puts way too much on his shoulders with things like "I won't let this happen again," and "I'll get the seniors to a bowl game." He's not thinking "team" and is trying too hard to make a play each down...hence the mistakes. The problem is that UM's biggest plays have come from his gunslinging, but RR doesn't like that and wants LMT to follow the planned execution of the play. This frustrates LMT. PLus, RR is playing head games with him, i.e. not getting 1st team snaps all week but starting anyway. The final thing is that it is pretty obvious that RR is looking toards the incoming Gardner kid as his QB of the future. This is why I would be surprised if LMT doesn't transfer.

Who is Ralph Friedgen and where does he coach?

Regarding Miles, did you hear his explanation for LSU's clock management meltdown Saturday? It made no sense....is he a Michigan grad?
Posted Monday November 23, 2009, About: Weis won't resign
He knows he has stunk the place up with his coaching, yet wants paid for work he will not do. If he loves ND so much, why make them pay for their huge mistake of giving him a 10 year deal? Because he can!

This is the ticket! ND and the Big-10 need each other. The TV contract deal's $$ could be worked out and ND doesn't belong in the Big East for other sports. They could maintain their rivalry's with MSU, UM and Purdue, and 4 others if they wished. It would be glorious!!

Now you are a serious hater! Your poison pen is not eloquent and given to extremes, but clearly a hater of anything Big-10 or Midwest. The pain of USC's embarrassment the past month must be too much for you to bare! Your likely conference champion was sent to the woodshed by a WAC team, so what does that make the PAC-10?

I do agree with your rants about RichieRod and Weis and that UM is the new Indiana in the Big-10, but that's about all.

But by all means keep venting, don't worry that it makes you look sill, just keep letting all the USC frustration and anger out....you'll feel better.

Sorry, that's a 3-9 and 5-7
Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Rich Rod running short on time?
I agree UM did put out a good effort and we say their "A" game. I was worried about the game because none of OSU's players know what a loss to Michigan feels like and the rivalry has dimmed. We had wrapped up the Rose Bowl and didn't have a lot to play for. Throw in the no-show at Purdue and I wasn't expecting our "A" game and didn't get it on "O.". UM is a young team, but not at key line positions which were Carr's recruits. Next year you'll be playing a lot of redshirt freshmen, plus maybe a true Frosh QB (Gardner). I don't expect any real improvement next year....you will remain the new Indiana.

Here's a question for you UM/RR fans. If you knew two years ago when you were looking for a new HC that hiring RR and subsequent transition would result in a 2-9 and 5-7 and no bowl games.....would you have been on-board for the hire?
Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Will Weis agree to Irish exit today?
With a proper coaching change, I think ND could get back to a top-10 team next year. I'd like to see them get their butts into the Big-10 and that would also help. This year it looked like their schedule was powder-puff but it ended tougher then expected.

As for doing the worst coaching job, I'd have to say he was edged out for that honor by Rodriquez who ended 1-7 (only win versus Delaware State-Div II).
Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Clausen, Tate mum on Notre Dame future
The problem with being only 17 NDIrish7 and posting is that you don't know what you don't know. Hate for Notre Dame comes from many years of success (not lately obviously), followed by many years of arrogance. They get special treatment from the BCS because they have ahuge following all over the country and have their own TV contract which they don't have to share. They have people like Lou Holtz on TV every weekend building them up (even though he was forced out as HC and stabbed in the back by Bob Davie). I could go on, but you get the picture.

As far as Clausen & Tate are concerned, it matters not what these posters say. Their will be determined by the NFL as they receive their "pre-draft" analysis which will guide them in the decisions.

As for Scrubber, I agree he adds little and needs to take his game up a few notches or vacate the premises!

You frickin' went 1-7 in the Big 10! You are the new Indiana! A laughing stock! Dpn't you get it? Carr never did that and wouldn't have if he had stayed. You dream of being at the top of the Big-10, but that's all they are....dreams. What about finishing 1-7 don't you understand? That is not improvement! You keep recruiting these speedy little players (3 stars at best) and you'll never get above 500%.

The only reason you scored some points is because of Little Man Tate's ability to throw on the run. But, his picks have got him in RR's doghouse. What did RR yell at him Saturday? Throw the ball where the play calls for it? That will rob him of his biggest asset....scrambling. Plus, physically he won't hold up.

You need to create some type axe so you and Indiana can have something to play for while fighting for 10th place!
Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Rich Rod won't commit to QB for 2010
I would be surprised in Little Man Tate doesn't transfer. RR is clearly looking toward the Gardner kid from Inkster as his starting QB and he's lost patience with Forcier. Robinson is light years away from being ready. One thing for sure, he won't be transferring to OSU, besides Pryor we have former Buckeye QB Kent Graham's kid coming in.

Most of Carr's kids will be gone next year and UM will field a bunch of redshirt freshmen plus a another true freshman at QB....a recipe for another long season.

I'm sure Little Man Tate enjoys that vote of confidence.
Posted Friday November 20, 2009, About: Mangino calls out accusers
One kid gets "bullied" while another receives "tough-love," how much difference is there between the two? Coaches like Woody Hayes, Bo Schembeckler, Tom Osborne, and Bear Bryant did many of the same things Mangino is accused of, yet they were loved by the majority of their players. They helped kids become men and it was appreciated. Many of today's kids don't believe they need the help and resent the "tough-love" approach. It's a generational thing and Mangino is out of step with it. The same thing happened to Bobby Knight....things changed and he didn't so we had a no-tolerance policy and then a firing. Bobby still is angry and has ill-feelings towards Indiana yet today. Look for the same ending for Mangino. His football schemes are not outdated, but his handling of the kids is and from his reaction....he doesn't get-it. So, another "tough-love" coach goes on the wood pile and will be replaced by a totally opposite style type. Another young "up & comer" will be given the job and Kansas football will fall into the same crater that Nebraska, Kansas State and many others have fallen.

What a bunch of B.S., even for a RR kool-aide drinker! You are delusional if you try to blame RR's dismal record on Carr. Carr never had a losing season and won twice as many Big 10 games his last year as your boy has in two years. The bad situation he is in is of his own doing. The only cupboard bare is between your ears!

Yooper, I respect your loyalty. But could it be misdirected? Shouldn't you be loyal to UM more then to RR? Look how much damage has already been done by this guy. Do you actually believe for a minute that RR didn't know those reports were not being filed? I agree that the issue is bush, but you have to obey the rules. Yes, your "O" has been productive (mostly in the first half), but RR is playing mind games with Little Man Tate, to date your biggest asset. Maybe he is waiting for the "Inkster Flash" (my nickname for him) and next year, when you'll be starting all over again (if he is academically eligible). As for the "D," isn't it likely that he'll fire this years DC (like last year) and start over again? Staying loyal to RR reminds me of a gambling saying that fits the situation: you are "chasing your money" Since you hate Las Vegas, let me explain. This means that you have so much invested in RR that you keep investing more trying to prove yourself right. The best thing that can happen to UM football is that RR gets fired over this investigation thing.

I want a strong UM program and here is why. As it is, we have nothing to gain by beating UM this year and that scares me. We have the Rose Bowl tied up and are heavy favorites this week in Ann Arbor. We have much more to lose than to gain and after watching our no-show versus Purdue, I am fearful of another performance like that. If this were the old Michigan, then I'm confident we would give it our best.

Yea, Carr ran the program down alright, let's see, he was 3 points (versus OSU) from being in the NC game in the '06 season. Maybe he slipped a bit in his last season, but still won 6 conference games which is twice as many as RichieRod has won in his 2 years at UM. Beating Tebow's national championship Florida team in '07 was impressive. In my day we would say that RR can't carry Lloyd Carr's clipboard!

Yooper, I don't think Tressel cares a hoot what people like Mandel has to say. You don't get it! JT's #1 goal is to win the Big 10 and he's been doing that for 5 straight years.....with different offense approaches all built around the people he has. The solid defense has been the key. You believe that the Big 10 is weak and yet your coach has only won 3 games in two years against these weak teams. Yet, you continue to believe that RR will be the savior of the Big 10's reputation. Does that make any sense? JT does what he needs to do to have the best chance to win and most of the time he is right. Though we lost in the finals seconds, we were very competitive against Texas last year. This year we were very young, yet JT has us in the Rose Bowl. This is why us Buckeye fans pay not attention to the Stewart Mandels and the YooperZs of the world.

I here you BI. During the Cooper years, it was painful. But, we didn't have to put up with 3-9 and 5-6. But, I did feel that we would never know peace until Cooper was gone. What amazes me is how many RR kool-aide drinkers are still around.
