Welp, it can't hurt. As bad as Chad is, he's better than McCown. Or Beck. So I'm thinkin' Tuna will dump McCown and have Henne as the #2. Beck goes back to where he should be: the third-stringer. Hopefully Chad can be a good mentor and buy Henne a little time before he gets thrown to the wolves..

They really should listen to Crowder. They (finally) traded away Zach Thomas, the face of this franchise for over a decade, and they drafted Crowder to replace him a few years back (clearly). If they want Channing to assume ZT's previous role, they'd better pay him. If he walks after this season, it will be another big name (following the likes of Randy McMichael, Chris Chambers, and Adewale Ogunleye) tossed aside, which has just been killing this club.

That being said, I think the Tuna is taking a 'wait and see' approach to this, as well as the 2008 campaign as a whole. If Channing proves he's worth it, he'll get his.

I like to see Tony Sparano singleing out the guys that are getting it done. I think the other members of the team will see that and be able to feed off of the positive reenforcement.
