Try some "Crazy Jerry's Brain Damage". Guaranteed you won't want to "Wipe" your butt the next day, pat dry only. Oh, the pain!

Call me when Favre tosses 50 TD's.

FMSD, You're right. I would cast Riccardi to play a young Joe Paterno in the movie "Nitany Lion".

Posted Saturday August 16, 2008, About: Moss nervous about 2009 season
Moss understands that if he and Brady "only hook up for 30-35 TD"S this year, the NY loving, NE hating media types at ESPN & SI will spin stories that say they are washed up. Look at the adulation that Mr. Interception is recieving now that he is wearing a jets uniform for proof of my theory.
Or maybe, he's just nervous cuz he saw Coach Belichick with a tucked in collared shirt, hair combed, smiling during the first preseason game. Invasion of the body snatchers anyone?

Angrychinaman, I think your meds are wearing off. You should go find a knitting story to comment on. Favre was an above average QB who happened to play for the same team for a long time. His greatest accomplishment is longevity, being able to play 110-120 games straight without missing any due to injury is testimony to his toughness. His one SB win was thanks to a kick returner named Desmond Howard.
Not many of the Old Time players on any team would survive in the modern era at their old positions. The lineman of that time where about the size of a modern day LB. Some of the QB's, recievers and runnuning backs could do it for sure.
The packers could install me at QB and they would sell out every game this year. Don't laugh, I've got a pretty good arm for an old guy!

Now I wish that Nashville fan was here to read this. This is really my point about contaction. Let me ask though, as an outsider, it seems to me that there is a very hardcore base of Caps fans, though not large in #.
It also seems to me that the owner is in it for the long haul, or are both of these observations wrong?
Spiny Norman | 08/15/08, 12:17 PM

I can't answer that question as I was just visiting for a week. I'm a Bruins fan. Naturally I hate the Flyers. Philly was lucky not to be down 3 or 4 zip after 1 period as they were completely outplayed. The game went into OT ( 2 OT's I think) There certainly was a buzz around the stadium that night. Inside the place was rockin. It's a shame Philly won.

I bet Lynch gets four interceptions this season, all from Brett Favre.

What about the second game?
Posted Friday August 15, 2008, About: Capitals become hot ticket in D.C.
Its a tough market here in DC. Most of the people here relocate from other parts of the country and bring their team with them. Outside of the Skins and United, there isn't much of a rooted fanbase for the local teams.
MoshNYM | 08/15/08, 09:35 AM

True Dat. We also took in a Nats baseball game against the Mets. Beautiful new Stadium, but it was obvious that the Transient nature of the DC area will make it tough to secure any "lifer fans" The game we went to was 3/4 full and it sounded like we were at Shea Stadium. Our section was almost all Mets fans. The cheering was at least two to one for the Mets.

The Pats are a perennial contender, the jets suck. The jets have sucked for almost 40 years. The jets will suck again this year.
dismilmaya | 08/15/08, 08:28 AM

You may just suck at history too. The Jets have won a SB and had some very good playoff teams too. According to your summary almost all teams suck over 40 years?

No, that's not what I said. What year did the jets win the super bowl? 1969. Now, I know I went to public schools, but that's 39 years ago. I believe 39 is almost 40. They suck. End of Story!

And for those of you who want to keep up the cheating theme, chew on this. The location of the camera was against the rules, not the camera itself. It was and still is legal to tape anything you want from any other location but the sideline. It was a breach of a technicality, not cheating. All teams do it, not sure why, but they do.

Lynch has too much class to play for a snitch like mangina.

See this is the exact crap that people like you seem to have trouble getting over ... Don't be mad just because the Jets snitched on cheaters,
Real Sports is Kellen Clemens | 08/15/08, 07:56 AM

mangina broke the code. He is a snitch. He knew the "illegal" taping location was a technicality, he was doing it himself. He ratted out the man who gave him the opportunity to be more than a coffee b!t(h.
