It's complete and total BS. They're two different disciplines of racing requiring different skills. Get over yourselves people.
By the same logic Franchitti must suck because he got royally screwed in NASCAR but now has two IndyCar Championships.... Right?
A Formula-1 car still requires a bit of finesse. Could Busch learn how to drive one in time? Yes. I just don't think tossing him the keys to one is the best idea though.
If anything the death of Ayrton Senna HURT F-1, as one of their most exciting drivers had passed.
JPM is not mad about this anymore! Look who posted the freaking story... the AP whom has proven to know not a damn thing. This story stems from the fact reporters keep asking him about and his response has been "I'm not happy, but would have done the same thing." He is in no way mad about. Also point out the wrecks he's caused this year?
JPM deserves to be in NASCAR just as much as anyone driving in it right now. What has Reed Sorenson done since he started racing at the Cup level? He certainly has never showed the fire that JPM and guys like Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, and Tony Stewart have.
Also where exactly do you get your theory about Indianapolis 500 winners don't mean crap anymore? Mears is still heavily involved with Penske Racing. AJ Foyt owns a one-car team. I'd much rather make a case for what have Daytona 500 winners done lately? Harvick and Newman haven't won a race since their Daytona victories and after Kenseth started out hot this year he quickly faded.
Also you want my honest opinion... Dale Sr. would have respected the fire JPM has for racing.
Where his crap about JPM still being mad is coming from I have no freaking clue. If he's mad about anything it's that he was dropped to third when it was plain as day he was ahead of Hamlin when the caution flew.
Not throwing the caution was stupid. The reason they didn't throw appears to be that they didn't want to make Mark Martin look too much like the favorite, especially JPM getting robbed at the Brickyard.
JPM was not robbed in this race. He did the respectable thing by not taking out Martin in order to win it.
NASCAR needs consistency. At Talladega in 2008 they threw the caution on the last lap right away as opposed to letting JPM and Kyle Busch race to the line. At Daytona in 2007 they let them race to the line, and it cost Mark Martin. Too inconsistent.
As for the comments about Toyota coming from F-1... Uh hello how is that any different then Kenseth letting Carl Edwards lead a lap? NASCAR is closer to F-1 than most people want to think.
Anyway... There's no point considering all the cars the same. It's just a sticker across the front of the car.
Anyway I still hold my opinion that last weekend was a screwjob.
Which is no reason to bash him either.
As for Danica, she had a shot at it but I don't know why she went high on the last two restarts. She should have waited until they got to the frontstretch and went on the inside.
