What exactly is the issue with Feliz? I've always liked the guy, even if he isn't an offensive powerhouse. He's a heck of a defensive option though.
Posted Sunday October 25, 2009, About: F1 chief wants Kyle Busch
I'm willing to argue that I think Jeff Gordon belongs up there with Tony Stewart, and while he doesn't have any wins yet JPM falls into the same category. JPM has proven what he can do in open wheel, as has Stewart, and this year JPM has proven he can race in NASCAR. Jeff Gordon never had a shot at IndyCars because he didn't bring money with him, but there is little doubt in my mind he wouldn't have won races.

I don't see where the heck all this crap about how guys in F-1 can't drive and guys in NASCAR can't drive...

It's complete and total BS. They're two different disciplines of racing requiring different skills. Get over yourselves people.

By the same logic Franchitti must suck because he got royally screwed in NASCAR but now has two IndyCar Championships.... Right?
Posted Thursday October 22, 2009, About: Ecclestone: Senna's death 'good for F1'
This guy is a complete buffoon. He wants the government to pay the fees to sanction races. That is why the United States lost their F-1 race (which was the biggest drawing race on the F-1 calendar, regardless of this stereotype of there being no F-1 fans in the United States).
Posted Thursday October 22, 2009, About: F1 chief wants Kyle Busch
Unfortunately I've found Kyle Busch to be a tad too aggressive on the track to be an F-1 driver.

A Formula-1 car still requires a bit of finesse. Could Busch learn how to drive one in time? Yes. I just don't think tossing him the keys to one is the best idea though.

The fix has been on since the screwjob at Indianapolis.
Posted Tuesday October 20, 2009, About: Ecclestone: Senna's death 'good for F1'
I just saw this... Anyway this guy is a complete buffoon.

If anything the death of Ayrton Senna HURT F-1, as one of their most exciting drivers had passed.
Posted Wednesday September 23, 2009, About: Montoya still mad at Martin
Ok seriously people... This is why I stopped coming here.

JPM is not mad about this anymore! Look who posted the freaking story... the AP whom has proven to know not a damn thing. This story stems from the fact reporters keep asking him about and his response has been "I'm not happy, but would have done the same thing." He is in no way mad about. Also point out the wrecks he's caused this year?

JPM deserves to be in NASCAR just as much as anyone driving in it right now. What has Reed Sorenson done since he started racing at the Cup level? He certainly has never showed the fire that JPM and guys like Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, and Tony Stewart have.

Also where exactly do you get your theory about Indianapolis 500 winners don't mean crap anymore? Mears is still heavily involved with Penske Racing. AJ Foyt owns a one-car team. I'd much rather make a case for what have Daytona 500 winners done lately? Harvick and Newman haven't won a race since their Daytona victories and after Kenseth started out hot this year he quickly faded.

Also you want my honest opinion... Dale Sr. would have respected the fire JPM has for racing.
Posted Wednesday September 23, 2009, About: Montoya still mad at Martin
Not necessarily... Regardless of whether or not JPM is mad about it or not(which I highly doubt) no matter what was said the reporters would say the same thing. That he's mad about it. Controversy sells after all.
Posted Wednesday September 23, 2009, About: Montoya still mad at Martin
Ok this is a completely crap article. He's already calmed down about it, and said he would probably have done the same thing and that Martin was just trying to win the race like he was.

Where his crap about JPM still being mad is coming from I have no freaking clue. If he's mad about anything it's that he was dropped to third when it was plain as day he was ahead of Hamlin when the caution flew.
Posted Tuesday September 22, 2009, About: Did NASCAR mess up final lap?
Ok here are just my few cents on this whole issue...

Not throwing the caution was stupid. The reason they didn't throw appears to be that they didn't want to make Mark Martin look too much like the favorite, especially JPM getting robbed at the Brickyard.

JPM was not robbed in this race. He did the respectable thing by not taking out Martin in order to win it.

NASCAR needs consistency. At Talladega in 2008 they threw the caution on the last lap right away as opposed to letting JPM and Kyle Busch race to the line. At Daytona in 2007 they let them race to the line, and it cost Mark Martin. Too inconsistent.

As for the comments about Toyota coming from F-1... Uh hello how is that any different then Kenseth letting Carl Edwards lead a lap? NASCAR is closer to F-1 than most people want to think.
Posted Friday August 07, 2009, About: Ford may be Nationwide's only muscle car
The Mustang can't decide if it wants to be a muscle car like the Camaro and Challenger or a sports car. I also think they are incredibly overrated, and you get a much better value with the new Camaro.

Anyway... There's no point considering all the cars the same. It's just a sticker across the front of the car.
Posted Saturday August 01, 2009, About: Some drivers want speedometers
Here's an idea, how about they actually race "stock" cars?

Anyway I still hold my opinion that last weekend was a screwjob.
Posted Wednesday July 29, 2009, About: Allstate ending Brickyard sponsorship
Actually after the events of this past weekend, the "Screwjob 400" might be a better title.
Posted Tuesday July 28, 2009, About: Allstate ending Brickyard sponsorship
It should stay as the "Brickyard 400" and nothing else.
Posted Tuesday July 21, 2009, About: F1 champ might try NASCAR
No reason to take anything serious from this. He said he would like to drive one, not necessarily compete in one.

Which is no reason to bash him either.
Posted Wednesday July 08, 2009, About: Earnhardt-Ganassi president says team stable
It would be real nice for me to get that lucky. I think if he does sign with Gibbs, he should keep his current crew chief of Brian Pattie though. I think he's a large part of the success this year as well.
Posted Wednesday July 08, 2009, About: Earnhardt-Ganassi president says team stable
There is one bright point in all of this for the team... JPM is still running well.
Posted Tuesday May 26, 2009, About: New crew chief for Junior
Yeah she conserved just enough fuel to end up winning over in Japan last year. A fuel mileage win is still a win though.
Posted Tuesday May 26, 2009, About: New crew chief for Junior
Eury Sr. would be a great crew chief for Jr., but is currently serving as Crew Chief for Keselowski in the Nationwide Series. Eury Sr. was the Crew Chief the year Jr. won 6 races.

As for Danica, she had a shot at it but I don't know why she went high on the last two restarts. She should have waited until they got to the frontstretch and went on the inside.
Posted Tuesday May 26, 2009, About: Fourth team for Penske?
This is really pretty simple... Run Allgaier in 7 Cup races to keep his Rookie status intact, then give Stremme the boot at the end of the year and Allgaier slots right into the #12.
