Chandler is serviceable in Charlotte. I think, if you REALLY want dynamic, you have to go with Jeff Foster and Roy Hibbert in Indiana. It doesn't get much more formidable than that.

There was also no evidence Allen stepped out on the screen. I can understand not giving ND the TD had he been called out. But there was nothing conclusive on that play that would suggest that the call should be changed. It looked reminiscent of Sean Elliott staying on the balls of his feet and hitting a 3 in the playoffs. If they call him out of bounds on the play, I don't see them changing the call either.

I understand that I'm biased as an Irish fan, and everybody is sick of ND and don't want any excuses, but there a few really bad calls. The holding call that negated the 70 yard pass and what would have set up 1st and goal was horrid. You're allowed to grab inside the shoulders, which is where he had him. But, bottom line, they run out the clock like they should have, they win. Not having Michael Floyd down the stretch hurt some, too, but they should have won.

Yeah, if by "matured" you mean "old". He was talented for a stretch, but at the end he wasn't much of a player. He looked like he'd lost the explosiveness that once made him good. I doubt he has found it at 38.

That was pretty good. I think the best part was the scroll at the bottom that said that Tom Cable had punched himself in the face after second guessing himself on a play call because it was disrespectful.

Is Brandon Marshall an idiot? Does he not realize that there are cameras at practices? In this day-and-age when pretty much EVERY cell phone has a camera on it, does he REALLY think that he could get away with this type of thing? Did he not think it through at all? I get that he's pissed because his numbers will take a dip without Cutler and without a contract past this season that could cost him money, but what the hell is he thinking? How would this solve his problem? "I know, if I act like an idiot and throw a tantrum worthy of 'My Super Sweet 16', then I'll get traded!" That's just stupid.

The Clippers actually do have some young talent. But the question I have is why are they pushing hard for a back-up point guard? It's not that I think Sessions is a bad player, but he's not as good as Baron Davis. Even if Davis is half-assing it, he's better than Sessions. So would this signify an end to the Baron Davis project?

I don't think he's great. I said that he was great down the stretch last season (a qb rating over 100 and an 8-1 td-to-int ratio down the stretch shows that). He has all of the tools to be a good quarterback in the league. Does talent always produce results? No, but it can. I'd take a chance on young talent over old has-been any day of the week.

And Brett Favre performs under pressure? He performed well under pressure with the Jets? He performed well with the Packers? Jackson was GREAT down the stretch last season. He struggled in the playoffs, but A LOT of quarterbacks struggled against the Eagles last season. That's what happens when you play against a great defense. Bottom line: Tarvaris Jackson's play down the sretch helped the Vikings win the NFC North and make the playoffs. Brett Favre's play down the stretch hurt the Jets and cost them the AFC East. You can't get any more black and white than that.

No you can't. I'm a fan who would MUCH rather see Jackson start. I said it before Friday nght, and I'll say it after. If Childress wasn't a horrible coach who ran a basic, high school offense, Jackson would have more of a chance to show what he can do. I look at it like this: Jackson started 6 games last season and put up a 95 qb rating and minimized his turnovers. He was efficient and productive down the stretch. He doesn't deserve to be cast aside because a coaching staff (or fan base, for that matter) has a man-crush on an over-the-hill quarterback who hasn't played well in a big time game for more than a decade.

Yes, Ilgauskas was outplayed by Dwight Howard in the playoffs. And? Dwight Howard is the best center in basketball right now. That's going to happen. The Cavs couldn't beat the Magic because they couldn't match up with Rashard Lewis. Z is a very capable center. He's aging, and yes, he probably makes a bit too much money (he's not the only one), but he's a good shooter (HUGE edge on O'Neal at the FT line) and rebounder, and he changes a lot of shots at the rim with his size. His numbers aren't that far off of Shaq's and he's not making the money that he's making. Shaq scored 5 more points per game and had 1 more rebound in about 3 more minutes per, and he's making 10 million more.

I'm a Notre Dame, and though I think they are going to be much improved because the young guys that went 3-9 2 years ago are now seasoned and should be that much better, I don't see them beating USC or getting to the National Championship game.
