It wierd they don't state a reason, but 2, 5-star D-linemen decommiting is a big deal, espicially if they are going to your instate rival. OSU programs has been build off its upsets of USC. Now only if WSU coulda land a 3star recruit.

Ironic this is coming from a BIG10 fan. The two best teams in your conference really put on a show last weekend. If Penn St makes it to the national title game it will just end in another embarrassment for you guys. I can guarantee you whoever UW hires as their head coach will be far better than the one in Bloomington right now.

Yes, the pac10 is down this year...but every conference is cyclical. As far as a championship game, I'm sure we would all love to see one happen, but a limited few have power of our conference and they are the ones that dont want the game (they are also opposed to a BCS playoff system).

How about the big 12 being over-rated... #6 undefeated Oklahoma State played Washington State this year. The won 39-13

Speaking of USC, WAZZU matchups, we seem to have created quite the basketball rivalry. The last two years USC came to Pullman have been amazing. The best basketball game I have ever watched was when we beat you guys in double OT 2 seasons ago. Coach Floyd & Bennett almost getting in a fight and the cops rushing the court to break it up was priceless. Then, last season in the rematch coach Floyd lost his britchers and got ejected from the game, we heckled the crap out of the guy, so much fun, such an environment. We should be good this year, I'm happy noone is talking about the cougs, we will suprise a lot of teams with our superstar freshman and big international players in the blocks. Ali Le COUGS!

Yea I watched the game and it looked like they wern't ready to play, lots of stupid mistakes. It is important to note though, that ASU will probably hang 60 on WSU when we meet this year. We can't stop the run, USC wont even need to pass with the backs they have. It will be ugly before the first quarter is even over. I'm excited to see USC play live. When the cougs are down 42-0 in the second quarter I will be the guy streaking accross the field in my never nude jean shorts.

When Hamlin for the Seattle Seahawks got jumped outside of a nightclub and had a skull fracture, the two people who jumped her were found dead the next morning riddled with bullets in a dumpster.

Thanks for the confidence in the cougs. Just for your reference...here is how our pac10 games have gone this season to teams inferior to USC (minus OSU?).

CAL 66- WSU 3
Oregon 63- WSU 14
UCLA 28- WSU 3
OSU 66 - WSU 13

At the least USC will score over 60. I hope we at least get on the board. We have the second longest scoring streak in the nation behind Michigan.

I think USC feels they have something to prove for the rest of the season. Lots of people are questioning them, they will put it on us.... I will be there to watch...nothing better than Cougar Football Saturday's even when we are the worst team in the country. At Washington State you are a Coug for life...we are one big family.

I feel like McKnight is the most overrated back in the country. USC will have a lot more success playing a different back...and we will see that come this weekend. McKnight tries to run to east and west way to much in my opinion. Weak runner, but fast.

The kid who made the scout team will never find his way onto the field. First off, I can't believe Lupina is going to play against USC only a month after fracturing a vertebrae in his spine. If he goes down again (I bet he will) backup punter Wagner would take over. If he gets hurt our safety, Hicks, who was a good duel threat QB in high school would move to the QB position. In reality it doesnt matter who we start, USC's 3rd string could still blowout our 1st.

People obviously care, stupid comment. Anyway, no amount of anger will motivate WSU football to play better. They are possibly playing the best they can, we just don't have the recruits or talent this year to compete with anyone. It will take numerous years for us to build any type of a respectable program. Hell, we were playing our backup punter at QB because everyone else was injured. I think USC will hang 70 to 80 on us and possibly shut us out. There is no way for me to defend our program this year, but I still attend all the home games...if my memory serves me correctly ;)

Bob Knight is a legend period. Those of you who say you wouldnt let your kids play for him because of his attitude and physicalness make me laugh. When I played football the coach would throw me around by the facemask and jersey when he was pissed. He was hardcore on discipline and a **** my words, I hated him with all my guts. He would always preach about how he was preparing us for the world after football, to be men. When I look back on my experience I have the upmost respect for my coach. He taught me discipline and that life was not easy. You have to work extremely hard to get what you want....there are always times were you dont want to get up in the morning or dont want to do something...but in life you have to wake up and provide for your family. I'm a better student, man and human being because of him. I will become something because of him... I am successful because of him. The biggest problem with America is that we have become apathetic...we expect things to be given to us... I would send my kids to coach knight without hesitation, he would prepare them for the real world. In the end basketball is just a game, how many people can actually make a career out of it?

Ya we had some stupid **** on our team, but we have to take risks on recruits because of our location...we have to recruit the kids other teams arn't willing to take risks on.

It is important to note that the arrests were not for dealing drugs, cocaine, beating woman, ect. I can't fathum why Hicks would try to put rubbing alcohol in a teammates contacts or steal a teammates debit card. I can defend Mattingly for beating up punks who jumped and kicked the crap out of his friend... if anything it shows his loyalty and it's someone I would want to line up next to.

The majority of the arrests were all alcohol related. If you have ever been to Pullman you would understand how easy it is to get busted for drinking here. The police to student ratio is crazy. We live 2 hours away from any place considered a city... we are truely a "college town". The police have absolutely nothing to do but bust college students here. It's not like football players at other universities dont drink, they just don't have the same opportunity to get caught as we do in Pullman.

You also need to look at who published the article....dut dut dut The Seattle Times. I have heard it was somewhat forced out because of the series the times did against the Huskies.
