Wow, typed out a response and it didn't save.

Anyways, to summarize, a pitcher gets better when they leave Arlington, imo, is because of the coaching staff. They never give a prospect time to adjust to the mlb level and leave them in AAA hell, until they get a buyer for them.

Nolan better change things. Rangers are a horrible organization and Hicks is a s.hitty owner.

The reason that pitchers are better away from Arlington, imo, is because of the coaching staff. The player has the same skill somewhere else that he does here (Danks). Plus, they never really call up the prospects and give them time to adjust to the major league level.

Horrible organization all the way around. Hopefully Nolan will put a stop to it. But, then again, you can't do anything with Hicks as an owner, since he never opens his checkbook.

I'm sure he'll shut it down, since the Rangers aren't getting into the playoffs. Noobs.

I'd scoop him up if I was a GM.

I wish I could get paid $18 million dollars a year not to do my job, and still not get fired.

Pathetic.

Yes, but spending tons on quality pitching will get you more in the end.

::cough:: Chan Ho Park ::cough::

I said quaility. Park was a piece of $hit, and will always be a piece of $hit.

I'll believe it when I see it. Every off season, we hear John Daniels and Tom Hicks say that they're definitely going to look at getting some good starting pitching in here and every year we get the leftovers of free agency. Great pitchers just don't want to play here and even if they did, Hicks won't throw the money at them that New York and Boston will, especially after the Chan Ho Park catastrophe. Meanwhile, we give up on every decent pitching prospect we have only to see them have success as soon as they are with another team. It's infuriating. I'm beginning to think that we'll never see good Rangers starting pitching at the Ballpark.

See a pattern there? Our prospects get good when they leave the organization. There's more to it then just pitching at a hitter's park. The coaches suck and they probably create a horrible atmosphere for a young pitcher with too much pressure on their shoulders.

Sabathia, Milwood, Sheets, Burnett, and some other guy. Good starting 4 for the Rangers, I'd say.

Yes, but spending tons on quality pitching will get you more in the end. And, I'm sure, Nolan wouldn't screw the team over that way.

Volquez never did well as a Ranger. The problem is the league and the Rangers' pitching coaches. They suck. Plain and simple. They cannot develop a good young arm to save their lives.

Rangers with Sabathia, Sheets, Burnett and their offense in that park = real threat.

Tex would be good as a Yankee or on the Red Sox. Short porch to right and he mashes when batting left.

My GOD, just end it already. And Favre, freaking STAY RETIRED if you're going to RETIRE, you're not Jordan, biotch!

It's funny. Right when I turned on the game last night, Wilson just finished walking Cano and then gave up the bomb to Sexson. I laughed. It's typical of the Rangers, but they actually pulled it out.

I also lol'd when Washington stopped him. Wilson looked PISSED when Wash was on his way to pull him.

I'm sure the Phillies would do the same in the Mets' situation. Grow up and play better, then there'd be no need for you to cry about losing.
