Posted Tuesday December 02, 2008, About: Knicks give Marbury marching orders
The real problem here is that Marbury has no agent. That was his decision. He represents himself and clearly shouldn't.

I have no idea who Marbury supporters are going to blame for this, but if he had a real agent, this would probably be over by now.

That is his own fault. Nothing is worse than bad representation in a negotiation.

You are assuming you know everything about the situation. I am more than sure that the Knicks have had more discussions about this and have more info than they are sharing.

No matter what its their decision. Marbury should look at Curry as an example. He took the benching, sat down and is doing what the team asks of him.
Posted Monday December 01, 2008, About: Marbury rips teammates, coach on way out
Clean slate? He already played for D'Antoni and was shipped out. He was in Phoenix with D'Antoni when he was traded to the Knicks. I think D'Antoni already knew what he was getting when he saw Marbury on the roster.

last time I checked, once an employer signs you to a contract, they can pretty much ask you to do whatever as long as its reasonable. Curry was a starter, the new coach came in and benched him. I don't hear any stupidity from his mouth about his benching. He accepted the organization's decision.

Unlike Marbury, he accepted that the coach doesn't want to play him. He puts on his uniform and sits. Sometimes plays etc.

Sorry but just because Marbury "wants" to play, doesn't mean the Knicks have to do anything. That is up to the coach. You have a new coach and GM dealing with Isiah's roster. He doesn't see Marbury as a good fit. They are not withholding his salary. They decided to bench him.

If this were like any other sport, where contracts are not guaranteed, he would have been cut before the season started. That is why the NBA sort of sucks. You sign a guy to a contract, you are stuck with that guy unless you find someone who is willing to eat a contract.

Sorry, but Marbury is not a victim. Well other than a victim of his own ego. He should enjoy being paid for the best courtside seats in Madison Square Garden.

And FYI, the Knicks own his contract. A coach and GM can decide who to bench at any time. That is their prerogative. They run the team! Marbury just gets his money. That is his deal. He gets so much money to do what the Knicks GM and coaching staff ask him to do, period. They asked him not to dress to sit on the bench. So do it. They asked you to play, so do it. Either way he gets paid. The problem is not so much the Knicks. Its Marbury's mouth. Fans have no respect for a guy who makes $20 million and can't stop acting like a fool.

I know a ton of people who wouldn't mind switching places with him. I would take $20 million to wear a Knicks uniform and mop the floor, or remove the wood floor for the ice that is there during Rangers games.

Marbury has always been and always will be, overrated. Basketball is a team sport. Every team he has been on has chronically underachieved. If Oakley or Ewing were on this team, Marbury's mouth wouldn't utter this incessant torrent of BS.

Why does anyone feel bad for him? This is a business to him and he is getting paid either way. The fact of the matter is, over the past 4 years he has been terrible. His team has been terrible with him as the PG. The PR for the team has been terrible with his antics, and he can't get himself out of the newspapers. Why as a coach, or a GM trying to turn this team around, would you want this as a part of the team, the players you are going to keep past this year? He has already stated he is leaving after this year, and there is no way in hell that the Knicks are going to re-sign him, so why play him?

He doesn't know how to play good team ball. Basketball is more than just on court skills. Its about not **** off your teammates and strapping a claymore to team chemistry.
Posted Friday November 21, 2008, About: A wild day of trading for Knicks
You had to break up last year's sorry team. Crawford is not as good as advertised. Look at any game he plays in and then ask yourself this "Where does he go in the 4th quarter?".

I am not terribly surprised that Randolph is gone, but I did think that Richardson would go first. Considering how much he makes, his age, and his frequent visits to the injured list, I thought he woudl go first.
Posted Friday November 21, 2008, About: Knicks: Curry lacks desire
Isiah Thomas traded two first round picks for Curry! That alone was cause to fire him!
Those two picks went to the Blazers, Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. Yeah, I want those picks back too.
Posted Friday November 07, 2008, About: Knicks: Marbury can't practice at high school
To all the people saying that he is being disrespected: Don't you think the phrase "what goes around comes around"?

How can you feel bad for someone who created his own mess. Its not like he is broke. He is collecting a check, so you can't cry for him.

I don't see you guys hollering for Jerome James and Eddie Curry? What they don't deserve the same treatment?
Posted Friday November 07, 2008, About: Knicks: Marbury can't practice at high school
I think it would be pretty funny if he did practice with them only to get benched. That would be full circle for "Starbury". He was Isiah Thomas' second biggest mistake (Curry being the first and physically roundest and biggest.

The current Knicks administration needs to clean house of Thomas' terrible roster and bloated contracts.

I am actually happy that someone has finally grown enough spine to show a NBA star with a big contract that its a team sport, and if you act like a fool, you don't get to play.
Posted Wednesday August 20, 2008, About: Coles warming up to Favre?
Coles needs to go. Too small, Too many concusions. Not really much more than a 3rd WR.
Posted Thursday August 14, 2008, About: Kobe's bigger than Great Wall
"Kobe is the best all around player in the game. Who else would you want to take the game winning shot."

Well if its a Finals game, where he seems to shrink, I would go with Byron Scott, Michael Cooper, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, MJ, etc.

He disappears in the Finals, look at his all time stats. So if you want to win the Finals, I would want anyone but Kobe taking the shot.

And personally I would rather have MJ. You show me a clip of Kobe clinching a NBA championship with a jumper like MJ did against Utah and maybe I consider him, but until then, no way do I rely on him with his Finals history.
Posted Wednesday July 16, 2008, About: Knicks deal pushing Marbury out?
Fact is he is TERRIBLE as a PG. TERRIBLE.

He is an older version of Michael Redd, except with a bad attitude and an awful contract.

Worst PG available for a variety of reasons, age, contract, no D....
Posted Wednesday July 16, 2008, About: Knicks deal pushing Marbury out?
This deal should have been made a month after Isiah signed him.

Worst PG in the NBA. Just see what he does to any team after adding him to the mix.
Posted Wednesday July 16, 2008, About: NFL crackdown on gang signs
The throat cutting sign is the worst. Any sign as far as taunting and the stupid stuff that players do (see Owens the Eagle running to middle of Dallas Star) makes the game a joke.

Someone needs to turn these people into actual adults. This is a first good step.

How obvious is this? This is an easy win
Posted Thursday June 19, 2008, About: Teams call Heat about Haslem
Lakers should have asked about this guy. Solid rebounder and plays 100% all the time.
Posted Thursday June 19, 2008, About: Why the Lakers will trade Odom
Solely because of the one play where KG hung in the air and banked it in.
If you are going to foul, foul. That was a soft foul by a big man.

Go to Oakley's Big Man's School of how to Foul in the paint.

Why not? We gave away 2 great ones for Curry. That worked out so well for us.

And on another note: Could NBA officiating get any worse?

The most obvious call ever in the NBA (See Lamar's entire hand on Ray Allen's face) isn't whistled.

At a certain point, you have to ask yourself, **** is a foul and what isn't in this league anymore.

How can no one blow the whistle on that play and blow those ridiculous ones on screens and reach ins?

You have a clear "My fist is going in his mouth and he is going to say TRUCK!" foul, and not a peep.

NBA officiating is just sinking to the lowest of any pro sport.
