I can only think most of did NOT see the game . If you had you saw CC was never taxed, never had a big pitch inning it was probably the easiest 8 innings he pitched all year.
Look anyone can see this Red Sox job is not for him, he is not connecting with anyone on the team, no one talks to him he just sits alone chomping his gum
i wouldn't trade Swisher to make room to acquire Werth, Werth K's too much and Swisher is a good batter, takes pitches, good eye, etc. oh and everyone on the Yanks had a bad post season this year.
Actually they had a deal with Seattle but then Texas jumped in and made a "better" offer and Seattle used a "sprained ankle" as an excuse to void the deal...yes a sprained ankle, it was a not "paying for goods with a bad check" there was no secret, Seattle new the player had a sprained Ankle when they agreed to deal, but then used it as an excuse to get out of the deal
seriously was he talking smack ? I thought he got pissy with the reporters who kept asking questions about Lee when he is not pitching the next game. I highly doubt the Yanks would trade Swisher just because he said something about Lee, now if they decide to go after Crawford or Werth, i could see them trading Swisher
The Sox should go after Lee & Crawford, then trade Dice K. They had plenty of guys step up while they battled through injuries, that could play full time next year
BUT what will happen is the Red Sox will act like they want Lee so that will drive up the price for the Yankees, the Yankees will sign him and then the Sox will complain about the Yankees inflated Payroll...lol
and if he plays great in the post season and Yanks do well, his down season will be forgotten..i believe he had a down season a few years ago and he came back the next year and played pretty good
the way they have been pitching I would prefer Hughes in game 2 & 5, I know Andy is a big game pitcher, but he has been injured and looked a little rusty. Plus Hughes has been better on the road, he has given up most of his HR's in Yankee Stadium
BUT what will happen is the Red Sox will act like they want Lee so that will drive up the price for the Yankees, the Yankees will sign him and then the Sox will complain about the Yankees inflated Payroll...lol
