De La Hoya lost that fight to Whittaker, but they gave it to him on the cards. It wasnt close though, and everyone knew it.

glad to see Sweet Pea Whittaker on your list... you sir are a true boxing fan!

I have to work tonight, and this will be a great fight. I like Pacman a lot, and certainly enjoy all of his fights, but when Cotto balloons 20 lbs compared to Pacman's 5 or 6, this fight is already lost on the scales.

....Just like the Mayweather/Marquez fight.

Yeah, it was the year Coughlin listened to his players and admittedly lightened up in both practice length and chewing them out all the time...

Am I the only person absolutely disgusted by Lebron's antics last night in the Garden. And this new age of Knicks fans, cheering him on while he's making a laughing stock out of your team is equally disturbing.

I understand that I will never see the late eighties/early nineties Knicks again. But, even though they never won anything, they still played their hearts out and earned the respect of the NY fan.

Lebron turning the Garden into his circus would have never happened back then... I don't want that clown in a Knicks uniform. He too busy trying to be a celebrity than win championships anyway.

Posted Friday November 06, 2009, About: Dez Bryant to enter NFL Draft
If you look at the bright side of all this:

1) Dez will be quicker/stronger and well rested
2) Injury Free
3) Leaps ahead of any other College Receiver in terms of being NFL ready

If a WR goes before him in the draft fire the GM immediately of that team.

I will honestly say, if Isiah's side of the story were true, I have regained that affinity for him immediately that I had for him as a player.
Posted Thursday October 15, 2009, About: Report: Rush belongs to restricted club
Nobody "hates" Clarence Thomas, but you have to admit he's a hypocrite. How can someone say that they would not be where they were today if not for affirmative action, and then vote it down when the case comes through the Supreme Court. Are black people, or any type of people for that matter, supposed to applaud that kind of judgment? That would be like Susan B. Anthony voting to disallow women the right to vote - surely that would cause some uproar amongst women.

And not all black conservatives are criticized, its just unfortunate that they all seem to be fighting to be the Republican Party's number one token. First it was the Keyes situation, when they put him in the race against Obama. Then it Gen. Powell voting for Obama because he's black. Lastly, it was Steele sacrificing his personal views to play "I's sorry sir" to that of Rush Limbaugh. They pretty much disgrace themselves.

Agreed. This article was about Rush so I named him specifically, but Sharpton and Jackson are in the same category, absolutely.
Posted Wednesday October 14, 2009, About: Report: Rush belongs to restricted club
Clarence Thomas?! The same man who said that he wouldn't be where he is if not for Affirmative Action, only to vote against it when it came across the Supreme Courts docket?! How funny people are.

I'm black, and while I will agree that the actions of democrats are more harmful to my race than rhetoric of republicans, I will have to say that Rush Limbaugh is a bigot who spews hate unnecessarily.

And while I will admit that this is a free country (one that I served for and got injured while protecting those rights) we would be better as a nation if we stopped trying to divide each other into groups based on any classification, be it racial, monetary, etc. Rush Limbaugh is the LEADER of doing that!

With all that being said, let him own his team if he feels like doing it. And let someone have the freedom to punch him in his fat gut for the things he says that offends people. As much as we have a freedom of speech, we should also be allowed a freedom of response. Back then it was called a duel, and I'd love to march ten paces and turn around and test my accuracy with my .45 against his. We could even lace up the Everlast's so I can spend a few rounds teaching him what it means to be a gentleman.

Btw, Im not an Obama fan either... but that's another topic for another day.

Alou worked in left FOR A YEAR. Why not Mora on the cheap. I think Mora at third and Wright at second is better than Wright at third and the current platoon at second, in both fielding and the batting lineup.

I also grew up in Bmore and have watched Mora play, so I will concede that history could cloud my judgment.
