He isn't a feature back, that is why his first starting season in 07 flunked. If there wasn't a wide open hole, he wasn't going to make it to the outside. He just doesn't have the vision and is best suited to be a downhill between the tackles runner.

I think it is a good move. Slaton and Benson. Get Benson on the cheap, decent production and someone to spell Slaton and be a change of pace.

Ward wants to be a starter, Slaton has that role in Houston now.

He's a celebrity. When you go to dinner do people follow you? NO. When you go on a date, does it end up on E!? No. Why? Because nobody gives a crap about the average joe because you are a boring nobody with no money or skills.

They are held to a higher standard because they are in the spotlight, sometimes it benefits them. In this case it didn't, nor in OJ's recent case.

Urlacher still played better than 80% of the linebackers int he league with a hurt back last year. The only reason he didn't make the pro bowl was because of the popular vote and having told everyone about his back bothering him.

Watch for alot of completed passes in his general direction. Seemed last year he though if he would impede the runner or receiver's progress by laying down in front of them that they would just fall down. Didn't work then, probably won't work now.

Vince thus far he has made the transition to the NFL better than Reggie has. Reggie needs to slow down and be patient, he keeps trying to juke and jive and gets planted. He has sparks of brilliance, then caps it off with a stupiid move to try and make someone miss.

I'm sure he'll get a shot. His first season in the league he had to start because of Rex's injusry. Fresh off the bench cold with no experience in the NFL is a hard thing to do.

He outperformed Griese in camp and in preseason and he should be given at least a chance to start. He's locked until 09 I believe, so he'll get a few reps.
