Good observation. What I feel here in Phoenix is that they will line up Reinsdorf as the next owner and announce it after the playoffs. BUT he will get his initial clause that he can move the team after not making a profit after 5 years. Totally sane business practice if you ask me!

I'm not sure about the initial move, Spiny. America West was packed the first years. They were exceleltn in the late 90's. We'll induct JR in the Ring of Honor tomorrow, he'd tell yout he same. Then came the move to Glendale in the middle of nowhere, Barnett as a GM and Gretzky as a coach. That was the beginning of the end.
Hockey-wise, with Tipps and Maloney, this is the best the team has been - consider what Tipps gets as players from the "owner". With proper management from day 1, we could be another Nashville right now. Instead, we're the #1 drama team (competing hard with the Habs, though...)

I'm a coyotes season ticket holder and I approve this approval of the approval.
This team needs an owner who will spend to get the players to put them over the top. Not gonna happen in Phoenix especially when he NHL ask $30 million more than they bought it for in court.
The need more than 5 fans that know that hockey is not football on skates.
