They are similar to the ridiculous Cowboys fans who think anyone who says anything unfavorable about the team is a "hater." If you say that the Dallas offense stunk up the stadium against the 'Skins, then you are a hater and not a true fan.
What absolute morons. I've been a Cowboys fan since the inception of the franchise but I'm certainly not blind to their faults. This year, the Cowboys are a good team but not a great one. They are merely a good team because they are poorly coached. Wade "Cupcake" Phillips is no more a head coach than I am the King of England. He's never been successful as a head coach anywhere he's been...success the way Dallas and their fans define it, which means contending for the Superbowl, not calling bye weeks playoff wins.
I'm also counting down the days until, hopefully, he is fired as he should have been after that playoff fiasco against the Giants in 2007 followed by his mealy-mouth excuses.
Jason Garrett has always been pass happy. It doesn't take a defensive coord like Dom Capers to figure that out. All he has to do is read the fan mail at the DC.com site and listen to those of us (and there are many) who blast Garrett for always abandoning the run. Garrett is simply in over his head as a coordinator and since he was hired by Jerry, he will have to be fired by Jerry before he leaves. He IS NOT head coaching material, either elsewhere or in Dallas.
Then, as if Garrett is not enough, we have Cupcake. Wade Phillips has to be the lamest, most clueless individual to ever stand on an NFL wearing headphones. I don't think the headphones are even live because I've never seen him talking into the mike. Mainly, Phillips just stands there looking confused unless the Cowboys score...then he does his little lariat whirl jig along with his patented fist pump. What a moron.
As much as I love the Cowboys, I do not want them to make the playoffs and give any reason to bring Cupcake back as head coach. I simply cannot stand another season of his cluelessness.
Besides, TO has some good, and more recent, friends in Dallas. It's not surprising that he has to "go with them" even though he stated the game could go either way.
I still believe Roy will contribute significantly this season. If a receiver can have a pro-bowl type season in Detroit, they can certainly repeat that play with Dallas. Besides, he is not going anywhere soon with his contract and the egg that Jones already has on his face for signing him. He might as well be given every opportunity to succeed.
ND has a storied football past but the reality of the present and future is pretty grim as things stand now.
Give him five years and he will be jobless, broke and sleeping under a bridge...or in jail for selling dope in an attempt to maintain the lifestyle Skeletor made possible by giving him that ridiculous contract.
Kyle Orton would be a very, very good back-up quarterback because of his game management qualities. However, he is not the type who can carry a team on his shoulders when necessary.
I'm sure Jabba was hoping that by whining about ND's ranking, they would not drop as far after USC clobbers them. Maybe that's what he meant by "out-scheming" the competition.
I think there's a clause somewhere in the Americans With Disabilities Act that excuses Flo for his false starts.
I still maintain that Flo is not, nor has ever been a dirty player...at least not in the mold of a Rodney Harrison, Conrad Dobler or even that defensive MVP currently in Pittsburg. He should have been thrown out of the Superbowl for his play.
Oh yeah, that player that Albert Haynesworth stomped on was the Cowboys' center, Andre Gurode.
FYI, Leonard Davis was always a guard, Arizona had him playing LT but that's not his natural position. That's why he made the pro bowl in 2007...Dallas put him back in his natural position at RT. However, if Flo were to get suspended, Davis would probably be moved to LT while he was out.
I do agree that Dallas has not drafted nor developed any O-linemen the past 10 years. Pat Free, Doug McQuistan and Cory "revolving door" Proctor are pretty poor.
As for Flozell being "washed up", again, you should watch the game and watch Flozell instead of the ball like casual uninformed fans do.
Against Tampa, Gaines Adams had zero tackles.
Against the Giants, Osi Umenyiora had 1 tackle.
Against Carolina, Julius Peppers got 2 tackles but never even sniffed a sack.
Those are pro-bowl type stats and Flo has done it over and over. Last season was sub-par for him because he had nagging injuries nearly the entire time. Even now, he's banged up with a shoulder injury so let's see how he does against Denver.
Fifty, if you had followed Flozell's career (in games other than against the Jints) you would know that he has always had problems against speed rushers in the mold of Demarcus Ware. Thankfully for the Cowboys, there are few if any speed rushers comparable to Ware.
I think Flo is one of the top five tackles in the league, even with all his false starts. Even Dr. Z wrote that once Flo gets his hands on the defender, it's all over. I think Z has seen one or two good tackles.
