Have you seen the highlites of the two series side by side. That Penguins and Flyers series looked wide open. I've only seen pieces of that series, but my god if there is that kind of room to move on open ice, the Penquines have no chance. I've never seen a series this far into the playoffs with so many uncontested shots on net as I've seen in the highlights of their series.

Hmm I've heard this arguement for years with the Red Wings. Here's the Real Deal. The wings have had a long history of grabbing players just like this and turning them into stars again. A short list of player that were cancers in the lockerroom include names like Hull and Chelios. Those pick ups worked ok. The truth is a player like Yashin is not going to walk into the Red Wings lockerroom and have much of an impact on chemistry with the veterns they have right now. I'll be more concerned when Nick and Chelios retire, but for now that's not a concern.

A bigger question is will he be a problem with his finesse style of play. I think it will be fine, the wings got pushed around partly because they were not healthy. The bigger defensemen were out, and Bert was not healthy. This is a self correcting problem in my opinion.

If we can get Yashin for a good price you pull the trigger. Some times you just need to get the right guy in the right system. I wouldn't make it a long contract and I love the idea of making it incentive driven.

Great fit for the Lions. Knows the defense, possition of need, get to play against the team that cut you twice a year. I'll take him. His charges haven't exactly been the kind that throw up huge flags to me. I'll take this guy over the guy who beats his wife every day.

Come on he left a gun in his car while he was in a club... better then taking them in. He ahd some guns in his house..he wasn't pointing them at anyone, and he had "A very small amount of alchohol".

None of this hurt anyone or was threatening to anyone. almost looks like someone has it out for this guy.
