Posted Saturday December 27, 2008, About: TV's most watched team is...
It is sad to read the sheer excuses that Cowboys haters have for Dallas being the most watched team in ALL sports. But, these excuses don't fly. For example if it was only because the Cowboys was being sholved down our throats on national tv then whomever played the following week on national tv would have equal ratings. But, they don't. I've seen Cowboys road games where it sounded like Dallas was the home team. Like CBS used to say: "if we want ratings we can always give the fans Dallas". The number of nationally televised games is offset by the numbers of averages. And remember Dallas holds the record for playing in front of the most consecutive home AND road sellouts in history. Someone likes them. They sell the most merchandise, the most valued franchised and have the most popular cheerleaders in the world.

Again, the Rams and Raiders were not failures in LA. It was a case (like in Houston, Baltimore and Cleveland) where the owners left for sweeter stadium deals. To think that a market with 15 million people doesn't deserve a team is insane.

Where is this LA can't support a team mess come from? It;s the 2nd biggest market in the country. It's percapita income level is one of the league's highest. They just need a new stadium. and the Raiders and Rams both left for sweeter stadium drals. Not due to lack of spport.

One of two things will happen: (1) The Chargers will move up the coast to LA if they are denied again a new stadium in San Diego, (2) say hello to the Los Angeles Jaguars (the Jaguars play in the smallest market, Green Bay's market includes Milwaukee, have no stadium naming deals, have virtually no major corporate support in the area and had to cover seats because of non-sellouts). The Cardinals and Vikings were saved by new stadium deals. Oh yeah, eventually the Bills will relocate to Toronto.

It would be a shame for yet another city to lose a franchise to a lesser qualified market (Rams to St. Louis, Oilers to Nashville, etc). Seattle has a much bigger market and corporate base than OK City. This would be a mistake. Maybe not at first, but, OK City won't sustain the franchise long term. And eventually look for the Jaguars to end up in L.A.

Mizzle you don't think that the Mavs need a bigger and tougher and more athletic inside presence? At least Webber can score in the post. The Mavs have NO ONE who can do that on their team.

I heard that the Mavs are getting Eddie Jones. He's okay, but, where's the size and/or athleticism? I would still rather have Barnes, Pietrus or Webber.

Posted Tuesday June 26, 2007, About: Which team will sign Tank?
What is this "boy", "Jackson State Inmates" and African "roots" mess? That is very immature. It's easy to coward behind the internet and let your true colors show. By the way, the Cowboys are no longer the destination for cons. They were the only team last season that had no players arrested.
