Posted Tuesday October 28, 2008, About: Al Sharpton calls Plaxico column 'racist'
I read that article and never caught the supposed racist connotation. I'm a Giants fan reading a story about a Giants player so maybe I am of the minority here, but I don't pick apart stories to start controversey, I read them for information I didnt have. This is just another example of people looking for a fight were one was never intended. Sharpton is the racist here.

I lost all respect for Taylor when he said in 10 years, he wanted to be remembered more for his acting than football. Thats fine after you retire, but that is just flipping the bird to your team mates. Parcells is going to bench this prima donna.
Posted Monday April 28, 2008, About: Did Cowboys draft wrong RB?
Jerrah had made his decision before the draft even unfolded. He wanted his Alma Mater Alum Jones, regardless - only thing was that Mendenhall was the best RB in the entire draft, including McFadden! He blew that pick BIG time. Made up for it with the Jenkins pick, but jeez, does he even know what a draft board is?
Posted Thursday April 24, 2008, About: Some Giants bought Shockey theory
Hey Ronnie - you know the difference between a good player and a bad player? A good player wears a Super Bowl ring.
Posted Tuesday April 22, 2008, About: Lions trade rumors persist
Just when you think the Lions couldn't do anything dumber than what they've done the last 10 years, they decide to trade their best (by FAR) player? Man, I feel bad for Lions fans. How have they not lynched Millen yet?

Brady is good but he's no Eli.
Posted Wednesday April 16, 2008, About: Eagles pump up Sheppard's value
As a Giants fan, all I hope for is Lito to be traded out of the NFC East. Well, that and seeing Winston Justice protecting Mcnabb's blind side for 4 more years.

Hooah:
"So, basically this means if we lose, Jessica Simpson better go into hiding."
It just bugs me when people use the word "we" when referring to the team they root for. Unless you work for the organization, it just sounds kind of pathetic.

Hooah - WE?? So what Cowf@g are you? You sound like TO.

Sir Sci - You sicken ME!
You sound like one of those annoying baztards that knocks on my door at 8AM on a Sunday. NO ONE SHOULD SHOVE THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS DOWN ANYONE ELSES THROAT!
How would you like it if your boss was a Muslim and he had you all read from the Koran during work hours?
Posted Friday August 31, 2007, About: Strahan trying to dictate return
Did I just see a Lions fan say the Giants svck? That's the funniest thing I've read on here in days!

"Do you know how diverse this country is?" - Well let's see...I live in NY. Take a guess.
I'll give you credit Madridist - at least you realize that it will never be as big here as football and baseball which was the point of my original post - from what I've been reading there are a fair number of people who think it will. And no, its not a popularity contest and you make a good point about if its popularity grows, it'll force the other sports to put a better product on the field. Never thought of it that way.
Posted Friday August 31, 2007, About: Browns to dump veteran QB?
Does it really matter? The Brownies arent going anywhere this season so they just should get Quinn in there ASAP and get him up to NFL speed sooner than later. Then maybe they can address the defense next off season. (Kinda thought that should have been addressed this past off season)
Oh yeah - CEDAR POINT RULES! Went there in 98 - best AP I've ever been to and I've been to a ton.

No Cyne10, they don't give an argument because I really don't believe there is one. Either you like the sport or you don't. I doubt there will be any converts. If its big where you live and and everyone talks about it on the streets and water coolers, then its a sport you'll probably end up liking. No one does that in the US and never will. I generally like team sports but when you watch something for 3 hours and see NO scoring (occasionally) then it tends to fall into the boring category for me. (Also why hockey will never be up there with the big 3)

I mean channels people actually watch
Posted Friday August 31, 2007, About: No refunds for Beckham matches
Highlight reels? On what channel? ESPN Deportes?
Posted Friday August 31, 2007, About: No refunds for Beckham matches
Freakshow? No. Sideshow? Absolutely. All I'm saying is that I'm 46 and I've heard for 3 generations now that soccer would be MORE popular in the US in 10 years and here 30 years later, its really no more popular now than it was then. Remember Pele?) Why is it so hard for people to accept that It'll NEVER become popular in the US beyond the playgrounds? I mean cars going around in a circle is more popular here. Not judging the sport - just saying the average American DOES NOT CARE!

Isn't it about time we end this USA Soccer experiment? We just don't care.
Posted Friday August 10, 2007, About: Giants, Strahan still not talking
Here's an open letter to my ex-favorite player, Michael Strahan:
Way to be a team player there, Michael. No one buys your BS about this NOT being about money. At least have the common decency to let your team know NOW so they can rearrange the roster accordingly. If you just don't want to go through the rigors of 2 a days, again - let them know so they will at least plan on you being there when the bullets start to fly for real. We don't need another "retirement tour" season hanging over this team.
Thanks, and have a really neat day.
Posted Friday July 06, 2007, About: Reds put out fire sale sign
I've been a Reds fan since 1970 and i dont ever recall them being this much of a mess. I never thought Ii'd long for the Marge Schott days again but...that city deserves better. Management has to put a plan in place and stick to it for more than 6 months. Trades are fine but no more idiotic ones like the ones that sent Kearns and Lopez packing last year for a couple bums that arent even on the roster now. Worst trade EVER! AS much as it would kill me to trade Dunn, i think his place in the AL as a DH but just make sure to get legit talent in return!
