Posted Friday October 16, 2009, About: Will Angel end up in Boston?
Abreu is a good player, but he'd definitely be last resort for the Sox. And - never thought I would say this - but pulling for NY big-time. Jeter is just too good and a great leader - deserves another championship. Plus - I can't stand the yahoo Angel fans with their clapping sticks or whatever you call them.
Posted Thursday October 15, 2009, About: Sources: Louisville wants Gruden
Louisville? Why would a guy who will be in huge demand go to Louisville? Assuming the Cowboys do what everyone already knows they will do - either fail to make the playoffs or fail to get past the first round - good bet that Jerry Jones will throw a gigantic pile of money at the guy. Hold-up there, though, would be Jones' refusal to give him total control.

Having the World Cup here in the U.S. would like holding the Super Bowl in Uganda.
Posted Tuesday April 14, 2009, About: Did LeBron anger Boston media?
Who cares, and who's surprised? When you have never won a thing you get over-excited about every positive thing that happens. Can you imagine Jordan, Magic, Bird or even current day starts like Duncan or KG doing that? Immaturity and not knowing how to act because he's never been there are the reasons for LeBron's act.
Posted Wednesday April 01, 2009, About: Shaq calls out Robin Lopez
Ridiculous - and I know I'm not the only one to think/write that. Take away Magic and what does Kareem have? Take away Havlicek or Cousy and what would Russell have done? Take away West and what happens to Chamberlain? Jordan without Pippen? Parrish without DJ or Bird? The list goes on and on. Foolish assertion that Shaq was not the catalyst. It's a team game and one star needs at least one other.

Would love to know how "the NFL suffered with Tommy out." Please, no one is bigger than the game, and that includes Glamour Boy. As far as defenders being penalized for tackling below the knee if not blocked into the QB, that's weak.

I agree if you wrote "when did we start caring about 17 year old kids committing to one school or another?" I, too, can not understand why people care about where these children go to school. Now, I WOULD care if the majority of them took advantage of the opportunity to actually study and learn something, but based on graduation rates I'd say that is not happening.
Posted Friday February 13, 2009, About: Agent: Plaxico-Giants friction runs deep
Let me get this straight. The Giants give him a 5 year contract worth $35 million, he shoots himself a couple of months later, leaves him team high and dry, is facing jail time, and Burress has "far deeper" problems with the Giants than Rosenhaus' e-mail to teams? What apiece of work this guy is. I've been a Giants fan for all my life, and love the guy's production when he's motivated and all there, but he should be on his knees begging the Giants to take him back when he CAN come back. Prediction - he'a a Raider or a Cowboy when he is allowed to play again. Not a shocking prediction, I know, but only enablers like Jones or Davis would take is guy.

You won't be liking it in June.
Posted Tuesday January 06, 2009, About: Who voted Belichick Coach of the Year?
After he's done, Belichik will be alongside Lombardi, Noll and Walsh as one of the all-time great Head Coaches.
Posted Tuesday January 06, 2009, About: Who voted Belichick Coach of the Year?
Obvious that injuries are part of football. Not obvious is how well a team does when they lose their best players on offense and defense. I may dislike the Patriots but I am not blind to the great job Belichik did.
Posted Tuesday January 06, 2009, About: Who voted Belichick Coach of the Year?
I would love to see how the Colts, Steelers, Cardinals, Dolphins, Giants, Titans, Ravens, or Panthers would have done if their starting QB went done quarter one week one. And outside of Manning, none of those teams QB's come close to Brady. On top of losing the starting QB, have those teams lose their starting safety, and best DL for most of the year, and best LB, and a few other important pieces. Please - none of them would have made the playoffs, let alone finish 11-5. Like him or not, this was Belichik's best year.
Posted Monday December 29, 2008, About: Gasol tries to overcome soft label
He's not "dirty." He just doesn't know how to play tough. Finesses guys trying to play tough is always entertaining. He just needs to play with more determination. Was pretty funny when he stuck his chest out and tried to look like a tough guy on that hoop at the end of the Celtics game.
Posted Tuesday December 09, 2008, About: Jerry, Wade disagree over Barber injury
Being competitive with Cassell is light-years from winning Super Bowls with Brady. QB's like Brady, namely Montana, Aikman and Elway (in the post 80's time frame, at least), don't come along too often. I don't care how many draft choices you get for the guy. Assuming return to good health, it makes no sense to trade the best QB in the league for I don't case how many picks.
Posted Tuesday December 09, 2008, About: Jerry, Wade disagree over Barber injury
Not even sure how to respond to this. Tom Brady has been the best quarterback in the NFL these past 5-6 years. Assuming he returns healthy, there's no way you trade him for anything or anyone. While I am not a Patriots fan and, really, after the Eagles, Cowboys and Redskins, they are my most despised team, there is no denying that Brady is better than any QB in the NFL these past years. People that believe otherwise must be doing so simply because they can't get past their hatred of the Patriots - or they think Brady is done.

You must be writing this just to get people to call you "fool" or to just get attention. That, or you're a Jets fan.
Posted Thursday December 04, 2008, About: Giants open to Plaxico return
Pierce, when he testifies to the Grand Jury, will likely get immunity, so he's probably off the hook. As far as the Giants saying Plax can come back if he plays by the rules, that's probably to keep the NFLPA off their back. The man is going to jail, especially with Bloomberg and Morgantheau making fools of themselves by clamoring for the spotlight. Funny, never hear from these media-**** on other, everyday shootings in NY. Not worth their time, apparently.
Posted Wednesday November 19, 2008, About: Knick questions Celtics' toughness
If anyone wants to understand why some people, mistakenly, think that the NBA is a thug league, they can point to this fool. Great game played by great players, and this idiot gives NBA-haters fuel for their fire.

Whoa. What's this? A rational, lucid Cowboy fan? We need to remember this moment.
Posted Wednesday October 29, 2008, About: Goodell questions Pats' Wilfork
Wilfork can keep talking about how those that know him know he's not a dirty player. Simple truth is he keeps getting fined for cheap shots. What, the league has something against him? Please. He needs to keep his mouth shut and play.
