Just read that Ryan Braun is out of the lineup with a back issue today. Hate to say it, but this is good news for the Cards, and for the Cubs as well, I suppose.

Edmonds 0-4 with 3 K's. Striking him out probably better strategy than hitting him. I wonder if Edmonds regrets popping off after the game yesterday? Can't wait for tomorrow night.

Carp 7-2 3.07 ERA career vs Cubbies.
Dempster 5.09 career ERA vs Cards, but he's pitched like a #1 this year.

Should be a great game. A game that has a heckuva lot of meaning, I think.

But I suppose you're right about the divorce being near complete. Which is why I say drill him in the **** today and make it official.

Nope...that will just start the warning process, and guess who will get tossed? The Z-man. If he hasn't already left the game with hand cramps! And notice I said at some point...not necessarily his first at-bat. But I'll take that dare. You've got to admit he's got it coming after what he said, right?

And I love how you guys are rallying around Edmonds, the most hated player in Chicago for the past 8 years. Cards outfield is better without that drama queen.

Jayhawkfan....seriously, what are the repercussions of this going to be? None. He has pressure to be successful as a football player. If he sucks on the field, then he deserves to be criticized. Not because he likes to play beer pong.

As a Cards fan, I was done with Jimmy two years ago. I really don't care what he's doing in Chicago. He was done in St. Louis. He was giving at-bats away, not competing, pouting. The Cards had too much young outfield talent to keep him here clogging things up.

Here's a quote from Jimmy as a St. Louis radio guy (Mike Claiborne who is an absolute class act) approached him for an interview after yesterday's game: "I'm f*#king done with St. Louis TV and radio and I'm f*#king done with the Cardinals".

There is absolutely no reason he shouldn't get one right between his numbers at some point today. I'll be disappointed if he doesn't. If nothing else, to get the Cards going because they need to start doing something if they want to stay in the race.

This is either the FIRST or second time he's ever gone on the DL. I think you're mistaking an injury (which short of Cal Ripken happens to all ballplayers at some point) with "abrupt deterioration".

Can anyone present some before and after pictures on Pujols? Because I've watched every Cards game for the last 20 years and I think Pujols has looked pretty much the same from 2001-2008. If you want to argue that he's not 28 years old, I think there may be a tad bit more legitimacy to that.

Cubs fans' disappointment will be that much greater this year after such a great start and high expectations. Can't wait to see that happen and rub salt in your wounds.

Couple of points: Wrigley is awesome and Cubs' fans know how to attend a baseball game. The new Busch has become so corporate, laid back, and energy-less it really bothers me. When you're watching a game on TV and have to hear silence coupled with Al Hrabosky's voice, it's enough to make you cringe. Cubs' fans are in the game for 9 innings and the last 3 outs the place is always going nuts. So I'll give you that.

That being said, the Cubs suck and always will and I hate them with a passion.

Cheesedaddy, Tiger doensn't care if you or anybody else likes him and that's part of the reason he's so good. I too dislike Tiger the human being but love Tiger the golf legend. He is probably better than any golfer we will ever watch, so either keep whining about all the whining that Tiger does, or sit back and enjoy it.
