The guy deserves his respect , however , it should be noted that they don't nessesarily have to announce it every time they want publicity about Foppa , cripes ! we had to read about Sundin for six months . . . .maybe it's a Swedish thing ? . . . . . . it would've been a better story if he came out of nowhere and joined the team after so and so amount of time nursing his foot . Now , we have to endure the ongoing . . . . . and I mean this ongoing mediocre media extravaganza of played out . . . .again !

Well . . . . . it's a "wait and see " , he may try and hang on and hope that an NHL team will pick him up , but I'm doubting it . . . . . . he's a decent player . . .but he brings way too much baggage with him . . . . . mentally and physically . . . . . he's unprofessional as a " Pro Athlete " . . . . . and he lacks trust from everyone in the Stars organization . . . top to bottom ,save Brett Hull . . . . . I hope he gets pummled on a nightly basis in the Ahl . . .or the ECHL . . . . and/or the CHL

perhaps due to Avery placing outside persons of the NHL into this by saying what he did . . . . . If I said something like that @ work , I'm phuq'n fired !! big time ! Dowd the fourth line center? . . . . . Philly has some guys that are faster and just as stout defensively as Dowd . . . . Bellamy , Cabana , Clackson etc . . . however , Dowd's emense experience may place him just where Coach Steven's needs that role filled .
As for the "D" . . . . well there are 11 that are vying for the 7 or so spots available . . . ..like Syvret , Berard , Eminger , Kukkonen , Coburn , Timonen , Jones, Parent , Ratchuk , Guenin and Vaananen

I think there is more than enough defensive presence on a line that would consist of Gagne / Ricards and Briere . . . . . . Gagne is no sloutch when it comes to defensive play . . . . this line has the dynamic punch of grit , greased lightening speed , defensive responsability ( save Briere) and goal production and/or chance production . . . . . D-men in the East wil have fits attempting to contain this unit . . . .. then there's the second unit of Hartnell / Carter / Lupul and you get the same type of goal scoring and dynamic ice presence . . . . . . the third line could be said the same . . . . . Asham/Downie centered by Upshall and Knuble . . . . this has balance written all over it . . . .If I had say in the matter . . . .in which I don't . .I'd say make it happen
