When the Spurs beat the Lakers a few weeks back, even they admitted in didn't feel the same because they weren't at full strength. Most boxers dont want to fight someone at 80% (unless its Mayweather).
why does it matter when it is? If a playoff game is boring, then its boring. We're also talking certain matchups. SA vs Miami would probably not be boring, especially with this seasons history between them with sitting their stars out. SA vs Indiana would be boring during the regular season AND the playoffs. That's all I'm saying.
Here's the bad news for ABC: it's not going to be getting any better this weekend. The network's lone game this weekend comes on Sunday afternoon, and pits the Grizzlies against the Spurs in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Since ABC began airing the NBA Finals in 2003, their three lowest-rated series all involved the Spurs. In fact, the two lowest-rated NBA Finals of all time have come in the last decade and involved the Spurs: 2003 vs the Nets (6.5 rating) and 2009 vs the Cavaliers (6.2 rating, the lowest of all-time).
The fans of that certain team are the ones that don't care. I LOVE the NBA, but if a game is boring, its boring and the channel switches, no matter who the team is. I'm not gonna sit thru a Charlotte vs Phoenix game no matter how much I love basketball. Boring tv is boring tv no matter if its a sports event, a documentary, a series, or a movie.
ok...not sure why you're coming at me like that 1. I'm not a Knicks fan 2. the post wasn't even directed at you until you said something from your end.
Spurs seem to have trouble with the Grizz in the playoffs. I think it goes 7 but I can't predict a winner. Either way, if Miami makes it to the finals, neither one of these teams will beat them. You have no idea how much it hurts me to say that.
in my ever so humble opinion
asterisk.

Same thing with shortened seasons, to me.
