I wonder if Theo mentioned the fact that he's grooming Daniel Bard to replace Paps in his closer role. Not now obviously, but within the next two years. Boston may keep Billy Wagner as a security blanket, too.

They already have two elite starters: Josh Beckett and Jon Lester. Lester got off to a bit of a slow start, but he's certainly one of the premier left-handers in baseball. Especially in the strikeout department.

Have fun with Favre, Childress. After watching him every game as a Jets fan last season, I'd never want him on my team again. He blew the second half of the year for us, and a few of the games we won in the first half were won IN SPITE of Favre, not BECAUSE of Favre.

He's finished. An aging gunslinger with only a couple more bullets left, and they ain't endin' up in the arms of his teammates. I think I see Charles Woodson going the other way with one of them...

It would be an absolute disaster for the Jets if Kellen Clemens began the season as starter. I've watched every Jets game the past four seasons, and every Clemens appearance/performance left me shaking my head. Everyone always raves about his arm strength, and it's decent, but the guy has a pea for a brain and he's clearly afraid of being hit.

I don't want a sac-less quarterback. Let's give Sanchez the opportunity from the get go. Learning on the job, right from the beginning. After last season, it can't get much worse for the Jets. We fans have nothin' to lose.

Why are so many people seeing, "Why do they need Lue?"

Umm, Jordan Farmar is injured and Lamar Odom is running the second team point right now. Granted, I don't see why Vujacic can't run the point occasionally off the bench, but at least Lue is a veteran with a knack for knocking down high-pressure shots.

I could see Mihm really helping the Bucks; Villanueva is a lame duck and Mbah a Moute is not a true power forward.
