Okafor hasn't improved since his rookie year. He's got no jumper, barely any low post moves, can't shoot beyond 3 feet from the hoop and can't shoot free throws. Yeah, he can rebound and play D but that's it. He's not worth $12M a year. He's barely worth $8M a year. The only reason he thinks he is is because he was drafted 2nd when he was barely a lottery pick.

He shouldn't have entered the draft in the first place. Ellington needs to drop out of the draft as well. I would like it if Green did too, but he's a much better player than Lawson and Ellington and might be a decent pick.

How many players have we seen dominate college sports but have busted in the pros? A lot. While Leak hasn't been given a chance to prove himself, the knock against him has always been his height. Flutie was only what, 5'11"? He did well, but not many others have.

I've been a Clips fan since the "glory days" of Ron Harper, Loy Vaught, and Charles Smith, and this is a very poorly run team. Why would Brand or Maggette even want to stay? The Clips will continue to be cellar dwellers. Thornton's already proving he can play in the NBA and Kaman's been good this year, but that's pretty much it. Livingston will probably get hurt again next year, thus ending a career that should've been. Brand and Maggette will flourish with other teams. Thornton and Kaman will eventually be traded because management won't pay them.

I think it's time to find another team to root for.

I agree with mic', Maggette will be gone soon and Brand will too probably. The Clips' window closed last year.

I love UNC but Hansbrough, Ellington and Lawson should all stay. None of them are NBA ready. I can't even believe Ellington and Lawson are in talked about as NBA prospects. Ellington disappears too often during games and just this season added driving to the hoop to his game. Lawson is fast and has great court vision, but is undersized for the NBA. I know, I know, "tell that Spud Webb, etc," but they would still be ineffective in the NBA. Hansbrough has a lot of great qualities but he would be overmatched in the NBA a little too often. You could say he's a rich man's Mark Madsen. He'll definitely contribute to some teams, but don't expect him to be a star.

Personally I'd like to see this rule come into effect. Forcing players to one year of college is a joke. Can you imagine how great it would be for college hoops if Durant, Oden and Conley were here this year, along with all the freshmen? There would be no favorites to win the title. College hoops fans all win. And if Beasley, Rose and Gordon had to stay another year?
