Zook was a classless guy at Florida, what made anyone think that was going to change once he went to Illinois?

I don't know guys, one of things that got Zook run out of Florida, other than losing a ton of big games, was his notoriously hands off approach when it came to discipline. There were a ton of players that kept getting into fights and various other types of trouble on campus, ending in a situation where Zook and some of his players showed up at a frat house looking for a guy who had been messing with some of the players earlier in the evening.

He's always been a pretty classless guy, and maybe Mendenhall shouldn't have said anything, but that doesn't mean it isn't true, either. The best thing Illinois could do right now is keep Zook on for a couple more years to build up a strong base for the program and then jettison him like the Gators did.

*sigh* When is the UT athletic department going to figure out that Fulmer does his best coaching with his back against a wall? Give him a 7 year extension and he's going to get complacent again, and it's the early 2000's all over again.
